"Kevin" Nick said softly, watching his lover get out of bed and sigh.

"Baby, we can talk all night, but that ain't getting us nowhere. I told you everything I possibly can, there's nothing left inside of here" Kevin replied his hand over his heart.

"Please" he whispered a tear falling from his sad blue eyes.

"Maybe you can cry all night" he said leaning over and wiping the tear from his cheek. "But that'll never change the way I that I feel. The snow is really piling up outside, I wish you wouldn't make me leave here" he said looking out at the snow falling outside of the cabin.

"Then tell me you love me Kevin" Nick told him bitterly.

Kevin shook his head "I poured it on and I poured it out. I tried to show you just how much I care Nick" he said with a sigh "I'm tired of words and I'm too hoarse to shout, but you've been cold, to me so long, I'm crying icicles instead of tears, Nick."

"Bullshit" Nick whispered.

"All I can do, is keep on telling you I want you Nick, so much, I need you so bad, but there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you" he said sitting down on the bed next to Nick. Nick shook his head, and the tears spilled from his eyes "Now don't be sad Nick, cause two out of three ain't bad."

"Fuck you" he spat out, yet clung to him weeping.

"You'll never find your gold on a sandy beach; you'll never drill for oil on a city street. I know you're looking for a ruby in a mountain of rocks, but there ain't no Coupe de Ville hiding at the bottom of your Cracker Jack box" Kevin told him softly.

"Why Kevin, why can't you stay with me" Nick begged.

"I can't lie Nick" he said getting up and getting his clothes together "I can't tell you that I'm something I'm not, no matter how I try, I'll never be able..." he looked at him and sighed "to give you something I just haven't got." He packed his bag and looked over and Nick "There's only one person I'll ever love Nick, that was so many years ago" he closed his eyes as if remembering their face. "I know I'll never get em' out of my heart, he never loved me back."

"What does that have to do with us Kevin?" Nick pleaded.

"I remember how he left me on a stormy night, he kissed me and got out of our bed and though I pleaded and I begged him not to walk out that door, he packed his bags and turned right away. He kept on telling me..." Kevin paused willing his own tears from falling.

"What?" Nick's curiosity got the better of him.

"He kept on telling me, I want you...I need you...but there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you...now don't be sad cause two out of there ain't bad." He walked over and kissed Nick softly on his full, pouty lips "I want you" he whispered "I need you...but there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you, but don't be sad...cause two out of three ain't bad" he said getting up and walking towards the door.

"Kevin, can't we talk this out" Nick begged one last time.

Kevin looked at him and smiled softly "Baby we can talk all night, but that ain't getting us nowhere" he said and walked out the door.

Two Out of Three Ain't Bad

Baby we can talk all night
But that ain't getting us nowhere
I told you everything I possibly can
There's nothing left inside of here

And maybe you can cry all night
But that'll never change the way I feel
The snow is really piling up outside
I wish you wouldn't make me leave here

I poured it on and I poured it out
I tried to show you just how much I care
I'm tired of words and I'm too hoarse to shout
But you've been cold to me so long
I'm crying icicles instead of tears

And all I can do is keep on telling you
I want you, I need you
But-there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad

You'll never find your gold on a sandy beach
You'll never drill for oil on a city street
I know you're looking for a ruby in a mountain of rocks
But there ain't no Coupe de Ville hiding at the bottom of a Cracker Jack box

I can't lie, I can't tell you something I'm not
No matter how I try
I'll never be able to give you something
Something that I just haven't got

There's only one girl I'll ever love
And that was so many years ago
And though I know I'll never get her out of my heart
She never loved me back
Ooh I know
I remember how she left me on a stormy night
She kissed me and got out of our bed
And though I pleaded and I begged her not to walk out that door
She packed her bags and turned right away

And she kept on telling me
She kept on telling me
She kept on telling me
I want you, I need you
But there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad
I want you, I need you
But there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad

Baby we can talk all night
But that ain't getting us nowhere
