47 | Final | The Chargers special teams and Defense came up big when it counted in a tough opener versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. Chris Gamble came up big on punt returns to help the stagnant Charger offense which struggled the entire first half. The second half was a fireworks display by Jaguar QB Byron Leftwich as he marched mercilessly on the young Charger defense, but big plays got them the Win. |

38 | Final | The Vikings wanted to make a point in week 1 that they should be regarded as the favorites and that point they did make. The defense allowed 129 yards of total offense and only 6 points. Last seasons sack leader Jevon Kearse started this season where he left off with 3 sacks. Offensively, the vikings 4 headed monster still looked sharp. Peyton Manning finished the game completing 18 of 30 passes for 246 yards and 2 touchdowns. Marshall Faulk rushed for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns on 20 carries. Kelly Campbell caught 6 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown while also returning a punt 72 yards for a score. Andre Johnson caught 5 passes for 64 yards and a ytouchdown. |

17 | Final | Season opener at Arrowhead Stadium went down to the final series when Juran Bolden intercepted a Steve McNair pass in the end zone to seal the win for the Falcons. Atlanta, ahead 17-10 in the fourth, had to defend a determined Chiefs offense in the Red Zone. Marching down to tie with less than a minute remaining McNair was sure to tie it up when Bolden, who'd been matched against Marvin Harrison all day holding him to four receptions for 44 yards on the day. The Falcons tenacious D also held the Chiefs to under fifty yards rushing as they played from behind most of the game. These Chiefs are very talented and were one completion from tying this thing. If these two teams are involved, the MOL is going to be seeing a lot more of these stars. The Horse Trailer Player Of The Game was Juran Bolden for he defensive efforts plus the game winning pick. |
