Season Summary
Bullwinkle Division
Cincinnati which started under Chuck played tough all year, winning all the close games. When Chuck retired
Paul would take over the reigns. Paul's biggest win with Cincinnati was the Pet Godzilla Game II. With only
1 second remaining in the game the Bengals deep in their own territory, would lineup in ProForm, and throw to
the running back deep on cross pass. The running back surrounded by a crowd of defenders caught the ball, and
managed to break away from the defenders and put the game in overtime. In overtime same situation, one second
remaining before a tie and another miracle pass to the same player, same play etc...
San Fran struggled all season, but at 6-6-1 had to face Houston in the regular season finale to decide the last
playoff spot. After Houston, San Fran would go on to beat Denver and Minnesota in the playoffs.
Houston had a rough season, needing to beat San Fran in the season finale to get in the playoffs, they rallied
to put the game in overtime, but on the first play through a interception, which was coverted for a score, ending
their season.
Miami's best moment came in a game at San Fran with no time remaining and down a FG, the kick returner slammed
into a crowed of kick coverage, and fumbled the ball forward to a fast Miami player who ran in for a touchdown,
stealing a win.
Lucky Charms Division
Minnesota had a strong season, nearly missing ten wins. In a late regular season game which helped decide who
would host the title game, the Vikes built a strong 28-14 lead agains Cincinnati, in part to a 98 yard interception
return which seemed to put the game out of reach of the Bengals. However the Bengals managed to sneak a score in,
and with a miracle score with no time in regulation, and another miracle score in overtime, were able to steal this
one. With only seconds left in the playoff semifinal against San Fran, the Vikings decided to borrow a page from San Fran's
successful play book, the QB sneak. On the goaline Minnesota needed to score to put the game in overtime, but
on the sneak the QB fumbled, ending the Vikings season with a heart breaking loss, and giving the championship to
Cincinnati who didn't want to face the Vikings in a rematch of their late season battle.
Denver had a strong year and was in the race to host the title game.
Los Angeles started off hot, but were cooled down by the rising Vikings. After escaping the Vikes 34-29 in overtime,
the Rams were crushed the following week 56-14, their lowest point total ever. The Rams Never recovered from this
loss.
Philadelphia beat Miami and Houston and lost the rest of their games.
