Bengals Can't Take the Heat

The Bengals changed defensive sets in between quarters which led to Cincinnati players lagging behind on the switch of sides resulting in a Giants 1st down on 4th down. After much discussion, it was decided the Bengals would be given a break. 4th down was replayed out of complete nice-ness.

After a 4th down and 4 yards conversion, (the computer indicated a gain of 4), Cincinnati called for a measurment, which was impossible at that point. The remainder of the drive was on the ground, capped by a Phil Simms QB sneak. The fake fg play was actually more than the 4 yards indicated at the time of the play as you can see in the drive summary on the right,(lists it as 5). Therefore a measurement would not have made a difference. The game ended at 28-7

The Bengals must now swim or sink against the Washington Redskins.
