Panthers Win Second Straight Title

Washington started with a strong 14-6 lead, but Pitt evened it up with a TD and 2 pt conversion. Washington responded with a TD, and a 21-14 lead. At the end of the half Pitt drove to the Washington 15 yard line, with 9 seconds remaining, but was held.

Pitt tied it up at 21 all in the 2nd half, and then proceeded to sack the Washington QB for a safety. Pitt now had a chance to go up by two score, but were intercepted at mid-field by Washington. Back and forth scoring, led to a 37-34 Pitt lead in the second half. With Washington backed up in their own territory, Pitt sacked the Washington QB for another safety, giving the Panthers a 39-34 lead. Pitt tacked on 7 more for a 46-34 lead.

Washington's last gasp for air was denied late in the 4th when Pitt made an end zone interception, sticking the last nail in the Huskies doggie coffin.
