A girl in my possession but do I show it?
I could care less if I even blow it.
She felt so bad of what she did,
but who in the world was she going to kid?
If I lose my mind should I bail?
Neh, I'll just turn my back and say "oh well."
Here comes a girl just walking down the street,
I get the urge to walk up and meet and greet
her to see who she is, oh what a trip,
to see how long it'll take for us to kiss.
I don't give a damn what anybody says,
so give all this player hating a rest.
I do what I do because it's cool to be a fool,
but when I rule it'll be school for you.
I'll give you an education, a diploma and a job,
of how playing the field works out for the Dawg.
But if I lose every girl I'm with?
What in the world do you think I'll miss?
Not a thing, if I lose everything, or if I fail,
it doesn't matter to me, I'll just say "oh well."
I'm not a player, so please don't say it,
I'm not the kind of guy that can relate to it.
I'll delay it, but I won't play it.
I'm just trying to survive in a world full of heartache,
relationships and I love you's are just all fake.
And I don't have time to be crying on the floor,
being with the same girl can become a bore.
At least I don't tell the ladies that I love them,
give them diamond gems, rose stems and commitment.
I give them honesty, trust, compassion, don't trash them,
And if they tell me no I certainly don't lash out at them.
Call me what you want or tell me to go to hell,
I'll laugh in your face and say "oh well."
Don't stop me in the street and try blaming me of hurting,
there isn't a damn thing wrong with innocent flirting.
At least I'm not out perverting, de-shirting without courtesy.
Regret goes a long way and not in some short fling,
still not handing out daisies, I do's and rings.
The thought of guilt never stings anything in my brain,
as long as I was honest and didn't lead them to pain.
But if you see me with seven girls in one night,
if you don't like me and want to start a fight,
but instead you run to my girl and tell,
I'll just go cruising to a different town and say "oh well."
