Rhymes
jealous anthology
by jeremy cannon

Creeping through the shadows, across the grass,
nobody can see him but they feel him pass.
"Did someone just walk by?" No, it's the wind,
Suddenly all the fun begins.
You hear the sound of steel cutting the air,
then you hear the slice split your hair.
Through your skull and into your throat,
that'll teach your richey ass to gloat.
Your body lays still as there's a gleam from your waste,
your body lays still as it molds into paste.
The stranger stomps through the mushy field,
cars pass on the highway, he hides and yields.
He stands in the road with the blade in his grip,
sees the house of the wife of the man he just clipped.
He drops the object in a nearby bush,
and through the front door he gives a push.
It's unlocked as usual, he turns on the light,
there she is, a sexy kind of fright.
"Did you get rid of him?" Yes, he replies,
"It's about time that motherfucker died.
Always in my business just because we're married."
And into the bedroom she is carried.
They finally start fucking now that they're alone,
but then a new figure enters the home.
The shadows reveal a man with an ax,
a cut in your forehead and blood streaming down your back.
How you survived, the Lord only knows,
you stumble in the dark as blood gushes out your nose.
You swing your weapon you found in the yard,
the door explodes into pieces and parts.
The steel cuts the air and his head is shown,
as flying across the room and through the window.
You grab her by the hair and say "Wuzzup?"
You swing the blade but then you wake up.
Your wife shakes you and yells,
"Honey get up and answer the doorbell."
You do and standing there is a man with an ax,
"Hello sir, butcher's back, go out and relax.
I'll stay here and keep the wife company,
I'll chop up dinner, how's bologna?"
You agree again and as you step out the door,
you hear the giggling & whispering from the second floor.
They might not be doing anything, but then again they might,
yet you pray that you'll finish that dream tonight.
