Rhymes
for every friend lost
by jeremy cannon

The air has changed, the breeze is wild,
and for every friend lost someone cries.
The sea is crazy, the waves are high,
and for every friend lost hope just dies.
What can we do without a friend?
Suicidal emotions will never end.
Tell that one that you're there for them,
tell that one that you're their best friend.
Because for every friend lost,
there's a big, hidden cost.
I do what I can to keep the faith,
you don't have any more room for hate.
No matter how many friends you think you have,
keep every one of them, no matter how bad.
You'll regret it one day when you need that lost friend,
and the longer you wait, the harder it is to let them back in.
Please don't ruin the sculpture of detachment,
because for this friendship is above average.
Don't let these problems be tossed,
solve them for every friend lost.
