Won't Be Seein' Carl in Cracker Barrell Anymore
by Hot Carl

Ok....I know that It's been awhile. It's been a really long while. But I'm back, and I'm ready to entertain my viewers with yet another exciting column. Since I've talked to you last there have been a few changes. Such as, I will be discontinuing my "Song Of The Week". Since I really don't write one of these every week, It's kind of hard to have a new song...EVERY WEEK! Oh well, I'm positive that you can live without it. Another change, I'm going to stop being so insensitive and uncaring to others in my columns. Life is too short to be pissed off and bitching all of the time. Others have their opinions and, from now on, I'm going to respect them. I still won't care what they think, but I'm going to stop bitching about it.

Way back on April 19th, I went to see Nickelback in concert over in the SIU Arena. Opening for them were Injected. and Default. I have to say, by far the best concert I've ever been to. The whole thing was just kick-ass. When Injected came out the crowd was going wild. They just totally rocked the crowd and got them ready for Default to come on. By the time Default came on the stage, It was every man for himself out in front of the stage. Default, I have to say, is a really good band, not the best live band that I have ever witnessed, but a good band. They didn't have the most energy either. They could have been playing the crowd more but I'm not going to be bitching. I know that a few of my friends didn't want me to put this in here, but before Nickelback came on I met this girl. We had a really good time and before I could get her number she left. If that girl is reading this, I just want her to call me at 322-9035. Oh yeah...back to the concert. And then Nickelback put in their two-cents. I have to hand it to the band, it was so hot with all of those people packed in there, they got a water hose, even when they weren't supposed to, and sprayed us all down. Kudos to them and their water supplier. Nickelback is one of the greatest bands in the U.S. right now. They know how to give the crowd what they want. The whole night was more than I could have ever imagined.

And then I get back to my normal life, if you want to call it normal. Since I've talked to you last, I got a new vehicle. It's a '95 Chevy Silverado C1500. It may not be new to you, but It's new to me! And because of my past complications with driving, my insurance is out-the-ass-expensive. I've not going to get into detail, but you're just going to have to trust me on this. It gets me around when I want it to, and that's all I have ever asked.

I'm currently in the process of getting a second job! My weekend job at Bryan Manor just isn't cutting it anymore when it comes to the payments. I'm currently trying to get on at Kaskaskia Workshop. If I don't get this job I don't know what I'm going to do because in about one month from now I'm going to be moving out of my house. I shall be moving into a new house with four of my friends, Amanda, Robert, Michelle, and Ashley. Now, my friends are some of the best friends a guy could ever have. But I believe that I am the only one moving into this house that truly believes that It's not going to work out! Let me give you a scenario. Amanda and Robert are currently a couple, a happy couple at that. And all five of us already see each other seven days a week. There are no problems up to this point. But I believe that once we all live together for about a month or so, and we each see how the other lives, there is going to be something about everyone that each one of us is going to find extremely annoying and unbarable to live with. I give it two months. But what do I really know? Maybe it will be okay, you just can never tell these things. I don't want it to sound like I don't want it to work out, I really do. I just want everyone to be open to the possibility.

A few nights ago, Amanda, Robert, and myself all went to the Cracker Barrell in Mt. Vernon. And when we got seated our waitress approched us to take our order. As she was doing so, I noticed on her name tag that her name was Kaci. I thought that she was very pretty so after she took our order I simply said, "Thank you very much Kaci." And she said, "I have never had anyone call me by my name before." After that I thought pretty big of myself, so the rest of the night I was going out of my way and being overly polite to this young lady. So, after we were finished eating I took the piece of paper that they wrap the silverwear up in, and I wrote Kaci a little poem (which Amanda said was just adorable) and I left my phone number at the bottom. I wrapped the paper around our tip and we all left. The next day I had a message on my phone. So I got all worked up over this (in other words, I was as giddy as a Catholic School girl who just got her first orgasm) and I answered the message, only to find out that it wasn't her, but some guy who picked up the paper, with the tip, and decided to make an immature ass out of himself. He was very rude and obnoxious, so...I let Dawg listen to the message. He just loves the rude and obnoxious! He called the Cracker Barrell and talked to Kaci about the ordeal. Of course she denied having any knowledge about this, so Dawg got pissed at her, called her a bitch and hung up on her...I haven't heard a thing from anyone since!!

And finally, I've started work on my biography. I figure that I will get started on it now in the best days of my life before I forget these moments. It's simply going to be a compilation of my life, the lies I've told, and the things people just don't know about me, and some of my friends will be very suprised when they find out these things about me. It's going to be truthful, and I'm not going to leave anything out of it. People really have no idea of how you truly feel about them until you tell them, and I'm not leaving anything out! Well, I guess I had better wrap this up before I get a finger cramp. So until next time, you haven't truly lived until you have lived truly.
