This heart-wrenching rendition of America's Eagle crying over the burning of the World Trade Center Towers was created by an unknown artist.

I - - Me; an individual; a committee of one.

Pledge - - Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity.

Allegiance - - My love and my devotion.

To the Flag - - A symbol of Freedom; wherever she waves there is respect.

United - - We all have to come together.

States - - Individual communities; all divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose: love for our country.

And to the Republic - - Representatives chosen by the people to govern; government is the people; and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.

For which it stands - - We, the people.

One Nation - - So blessed by God.

Indivisible - - Incapable of being divided.

With Liberty - - The right of power to live one's own life, without threats or fear.

And Justice - - The principle, or qualities, of dealing fairly with others.

For All - - It's as much your country as it is mine.

Out of respect for the thousands of people whose lives were lost and for those injured on September 11th, 2001, I am flying the American Flag and playing a patriotic medley.

If you are, or you know of, a person looking for a lost member of their family or a friend, a website has been setup for the search. You can also report a lost person found.

I want America to kick some serious ass!

In support of this, I recognize & appreciate the efforts of all the branches of our Military. I therefore have provided a MP3 clip which pretty much says it all:

"For Those About To Rock, We Salute You"

Madcow's Barn

So you want to know a few kibbles & bits about me?

Well, to start with, I drive a 2000 Camaro with T-tops and a 1998 Silverado Z71.

I love to go riding - especially on roadtrips and on horseback. I just sold my 11 year-old Quarter Horse, Skipper, so he could teach some young'uns how to ride. We competed in AQHA & NBHA Barrel Racing & Pole Bending, but I wasn't very good at it! Luckily, I was sidelined by an injury caused by a fall from a deerstand (no, I didn't get the deer... but my biggest so far is a six-point). Now I am leasing a 5 year-old Quarter Horse, Southern.

I have three Basset hounds, Flash, Belle & Chipper, who are the cutest, funniest critters I ever laid eyes on. I pretty much stand alone in this way of thinking (unless you own a Basset, too). Most of my friends & family will tell you they are heathens!

I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, which makes me a Jaguars fan! I just HAD to be at the playoffs against the Titans in '99 and I took lots of photos there.

Did I mention I'm an amateur photographer and I sketch a little, too?

Bad weather used to make me nervous - mainly because I lived in a mobile home and I was sure that one night I would wake up in Kansas WITHOUT Dorothy's magic red shoes on - so I would be up all hours of the night when there were storms. I created my own Severe Weather web page where I could monitor the local Doppler & NEXRAD, among others. I still get live updates via e-mail from StormWarn, and I listen to the National Weather Service (NWS) on my Bearcat scanner. I'm even an official Skywarn Storm Spotter, too!

My handle, Madcow, is derived mainly from the disease, because people think I'm a damn nut & should be committed, "What do I care, I'm a helicopter!" In addition to the fact that I have been collecting cow stuff for as long as I can remember, and a couple of years ago, I even had a Holstein bull named T-Bone

As far as computers go, I am a diehard Macintosh fan, although I use my Windows system most of the time. I have owned several classic Macs, and my current models are a Performa 5200CD, a IIci and an LCII.

I've recently become a celebrity! Not exactly, but I HAVE been named co-author of a web publication, Troubleshooting a PageMaker Document. So, if you're in the desktop publishing field and use PageMaker, check it out here!

This truck's hips are bigger than mine - amazing!

These are updated often, so check back!
