Future Services & Missions
Jack's Law
Jack's Law is a bill of rights that is soon going to be presented to congress. A united states federal law; stating that all coroners/medical examiners must claim "SIDS" on a death certificate for an infant that has passed away with no evident cause, or for an unexplained death. This will ensure the acuracy of SIDS statistics and perhaps help researchers to find more acurate answers on SIDS. We hope for the passing of this law and that it will bring new accomplishments for SIDS as a whole.
Local Support Groups
We have future plans to develop local support groups throughout  the U.S. for grieving parents. Providing support through their grief after the loss of their child from SIDS. This will be especially helpful to those who are in need of one on one support; as well as helpful to those who do not have access to the internet and it's resources.
Grief Retreat
One of Nancy's (the founder) personal missions is to provide a retreat for grieving parents immediately following the loss of their child. A special place to go to reflect, meditate, and grieve for their child without their daily activities baring down on them. Providing approximately a week of free accomodations. (As funds become more available to M.A.D.  A.T.  S.I.D.S. to purchase land and build cabins; we hope for this dream to become a regular part of our services to grieving parents.)
Financial Aid
M.A.D.  A.T.  S.I.D.S. hopes to provide financial aid to grieving parents immediately following the death of their child for funeral services, burial, and other similar expences to qualified persons. (As funds become more available, we hope to develop this service in the near future.)
M.A.D.  A.T.  S.I.D.S. works diligently to bring additional services and resources to the public. As we build relationships with grieving parents, we learn more and more of the different things we can do for others and their needs through their journey of grief. Therefore, we continuously have future plans for bringing out the best service to the public.
