After Summer
Written by: Daniel Stone
After summer was dead and gone,
we've been at this for far too long.
When your smile fades and your eyes reveal,
all that's bottled up and (been) hidden away.
I'll be the first to hear your words.

You didn't save me from myself,
You didn't say goodbye as you walked away.
Our moment of glory has turned to grey,
Does it keep you up at night?

Back when everything was mine,
We could just sit and pass the time.
If I put your casual glances all aside,
and look at you just like I did before...
I'll be the first to see inside.

You didn't save me from myself,
You didn't say goodbye as you walked away.
Our moment of glory has turned to grey,
Does it keep you up at night?

Summer's always just a month away,
And it can seem over just so soon.
I want to stay in place, for just one day.
Take the chance to stop the world from turning.
But there's never much to do,
Never much to do, never much to do when I'm without you.

You didn't save me from myself.
You didn't say goodbye as you walked away.
Our moment of glory has turned to grey,
Does it keep you up at night?
