And here's where I show off my little crabby patties (as I call them).  My husband and I went to Tennessee, like we do every year (self proclaimed hike-aholics), and I stumbled into the Earthbound Trading Co. in Gatlinburg one day.  There hiding in the middle of the store were about 50 hermit crabs.  I'd never really seen one before and immediately became facinated.  I know, but stranger things have happened.  I bought a little kit and two crabs and came home.  My husband and I are obsessive about our pets, so we scoured the internet for info on the little buggers.  The first thing we found out was that the KK that held the kit and two crabs was not nearly an acceptable crabitat.  We have since accumulated a ten gallon tank (that you'll see below), and tons of crab-ccessories.

My crabitat as of 10-3-2006. Acting on a tip, I went to Hobby Lobby and found a basket of shells for $3.99. I boiled them for a few minutes and voila!

Ryan and I used the Jet Li movie "Hero" to come up with the names for our hermies. This one is Flying Snow.
