How Madhuri almost refused Lajja
Madhuri Dixit was zeroed in for the role of Janki in the film Lajja. But then there was a hitch. Madhuri who has done a brilliant job in the movie had to give dates at a stretch for the film. The director of the film Rajkumar Santoshi wanted her to put in time at a stretch and since Madhuri was travelling back and forth between India and the US, she wasn't sure if she could manage it. But as Madhuri was doubtful, Santoshi asked Rekha to call up Madhuri and tell her to do the film, no matter what. So Madhuri agreed to do Lajja, thanks to Rekha.
