Mad Transit is an odd story about five strangers that get stuck on the subway on their way to work after some unknown accident leaves them stranded. After dire warnings of imminent suffocation from the intelligent Conductor heard over the PA system, Alex, who has claustrophobia begins to hyperventilate and eventually becomes unconscious. As the characters search for a way to help him, they travel into the world of “Meta-theatre” discussing the character Joe who was deleted from the play by their slightly unsettled “Creator” or writer. After Joe and his belongings reappear somehow to help Alex, the characters are amazed and go in search of the writer who they discover has been plotting against them the whole time.
