Cars I have owned.

This Fiesta was the first car I owned.  It was also the first car I modified and crashed. It was a 1.4 Ghia
with a VV carburettor which was changed gor a Dellorto carburettor with a Piper Cross air filter.    This
car was the only ford I have ever been proud to own.  It finally died when a Vauxhall Astra GTE done a U-Turn in front of me.  The front of the car was pushed right back.  The engine almost ended up on my lap and the Astra was able to just drive away leaving me with a broken rib and a totalled car.  The damage you can see below was incurred when the car was rammed in the back with a articulated lorry.

I gave myself a day to recover from the cracked rib and went out and bought my second car for £1,300.  A Ford Sierra 1.6L .  I liked the idea of a nice big cormfotable salloon.  I am 6 ft 3 inches tall and the Fiesta did get a bit cramped.  I took along a relative who knew a bit about cars to look at this one as it was the first car I had bought off the road.  The engine , gearbox and body work was all great according to this relative.  In fact the gear box and engine were good old solid ford items but the body was classic Dagenham crap. The sills had completely rotted and were filled with newspaper and body filler.  This is what you get for taking a so called mechanic and not looking yourself.  At MOT time the rust was discovered and rectified.  Then the winter came along , whenever it rained I had trouble keeping the car on the road.  Rear wheel drive and old cracked tyres were the culprit.  I changed the tyres and decked the car 35mm with lowering springs.  After the lowering I only span the car twice.  This was the only car I have owned and driven on a regular basis which I have sold.

After owning this car for a total of about six months she gave up on me .  On a rainy day near work on maidstone road I was getting the back out and the suspension collapsed on one side.  I managed to keep control of the car even though the back end of the car was almost on the floor , I tried pulling into a petrol garage and almost took out the pumps.  The attendent legged it to the back of the office when she saw me coming.  Managed to stop and got back to work.  The car was then towed home and then to my mechanic Graham the next day.  He managed to fix it for £50 , but the car was nevcer going to be the same again.  Three bolts seemed to have come loose at the same time.  Every mechanic I spoke to had never heard of this happening and I had a feeling someone had loosened them.

I then bought my Cavalier G842 TMX which in the end met its demise on the Isle Of Grain.  I had spent in excess of £ 4000 - £5000 modifiying and servicing this car over two years.  In two years this car only had the best of everything when repaired.  This car and I shared almost 50,000 miles together in comfort.  My Cav also carried me and my mates around and girlfriends.  She did not even get jealous when I carted five girlfriends around in her.  This car seemed to have her own personality she was one of my favourite cars.  But everything has to have a ending.  When this car died it took me with it , I suffered concussion, eight broken bones , damaged knee caps , bruises all over with accompanying cuts , lung and tissue infections and a small amount of drowning.

I did have pictures of the car before the accident but the insurance comapny lost them whilst the claim was going on.  You can see in the first picture where my head impacted with the windscreen.  The background for this website is that section of glass where my head hit.

I have also owned a Fiat Uno 60s , I picked this car up for £2,000 three years ago as a present for my brother and the car still lives on.

And we now have the Renault , the most powerful car I have owned.

I also have a 1.4 fiesta sport but thats too embarrasing to show pictures of unless you see it on the other pages.
