For those of you who don't get the local newspaper or for those that just want more variety than you find in your Sunday Funnies, I present, for your enjoyment, online comics aplenty!
Alice could easily be found in the pages of your local newspaper. It's that kind of family humor, but it's got a sharp intelligent edge with the pop culture references you expect from a web comic. Gotta love a teenage girl with an overactive imagination.
I keep meaning to read more of this one, but I just haven't gotten around to it. But it follows the adventures of superheroic antihero Shadehawk. It's nice to see an actual superhero comic strip around. I really must look into finding more.
Oh, ho ho *devilish laugh* Chopping Block is one of those comics that makes you laugh, and then makes you realize you're going to Hell for laughing. Be warned, the humor is usually very dark and adult. But, it's about a serial killer named Butch, so what do you expect? Just remember, serial killers are people too.
Why oh why isn't this updated more than once a week? This is the perfect comic strip for roleplayers. If you've ever participated in D&D or pencil and paper roleplaying of any sort, you'll probably recognize the characters as people you know.
As opposed to "Goats: the Space Opera". Truth be told, I haven't read a lot of it, but much of what I've read, I've liked. Maybe it's the chicken named Diablo, maybe it's the overclocked lemon. Or maybe it's the fact that they sell "Republicans for Voldemort" t-shirts.
Updated . . . occasionally. It's usually updated Thursdays, but sometimes not. In any event it's definately worth checking out. Oh, the sarcasm and sweet, sweet, sardonic humor. I think that's why this is one of my absolute favorites. That and the fact that he reminds me of a guy I went to college with (fun fact: this person once threw a molotov cocktail at the Art building and passed it off as an art project).
Ah, College life. Be sure to check this one out. Beautifully drawn, intelligently written, extremely funny. What more needs to be said?
