This egg is cracking, May 21, 2004

Truly the one and only Speedy Egg, Eggbert is so fun to navigate through 40 fun-filled levels. There are several themes such as buildings, mechanical, tech, stone, dream and kid's stuff. Each theme has 4-6 levels and each more challenging than the last.
There are many amazing items to help you, or even hinder you on your way. You can use shields for invincibility, eggs for an extra life, glue supplies to drop on enemies, lollipops as steroids and recharging devices to electrocute enemies. You can hang on bars to climb over bubbling lava.
There are also some things which you can use to your advantage, or dread. Wind and fans could blow you off target, or blow you towards it. Springs could give you that extra boost, or bounce you into a bomb. Water could give you a sort of ladder (you can swim upwards in water, but not in air) or prove a challenging obstacle. Wooden chests could give you the higher perch to jump to that final chest, or block you on your quest for victory.
There are (obviously) bombs to blow you to ashes, but they are much more varied, eg. Moving bombs, hanging bombs and ordinary mines.
Your aim is to collect all the chests in a level and then find the bright red arrow that ends the mission.
You can definitely take advantage of the 'Design' feature, and design levels. You have a portfolio of 20, and that's for every player, not 20 per person on list. You can incorporate all the previous things and the things that stop you. You can create lifts, moving enemies, moving bombs, birds, fish and bulldozers, all of which hinder you and trap you. These 6 things can (as I've newly discovered) be frozen as if the ice age has come, just by selecting the starting point and then right-clicking somewhere else.
You can also play multiplayer, but only a few people have discovered the wonder that is SPEEDY EGGBERT.
Bright colour scheme and lots of snazzy tunes. Best arcade game in the world.

Excellent, March 1, 2004

Brilliant game, especially for those people who like "platform" games. My only disapointment with it is that there is no more! WOuld love to play it more or on further levels (there are 40 in this version)

I bought the last copy so I hope there are more for other people who would like to play this game where you are an egg and have to move through the different levels using helicopters, lifts, skateboards & cars. The only thing that did take me a while to work out was that you can drag the blocks as well as push them (it doesn't tell you this in the controls section) which is the only way you can get past some levels. You can't move on until you have collected every single chest available which is good.

A thoroughly enjoyable game with lots of variety for all the family.
