In every generation there is a chosen one. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer.
Cut to a dark street in what is believed to be Sunnydale. The Camera pans through the streets and everything is in ruins. Camera then pans to a sign on the ground saying "Welcome to Sunnydale" but Sunnydale is crossed out in spray paint and it now says "Welcome to hell!". At the bottom of the screen reads: Sunnydale. December 22, 2013. Camera still pans looking over the city. The school is in ruins.
Blaine: (Narrates) On Christmas day, 1998 over 12 billion people who should have been in the Christmas spirit...were the victims of a harsh and unnesscessary death from the Bio-weapons unleashed by the vampire/warlock known as Jerec. Vampires and demons rule the night and the Earth after that day of armageddon. On December 22, 1998 Jerec stole ten bio-weapons of mass destruction and launched them at every continent on the globe. Only 2 million people survived that day. They were somehow immune to the virus but many were not strong enough to fight off the brutal onslaught of the vampires and demons. But the chosen one had survived and began the Allied Powers of Light. They were determine to fight the forces of darkness to the death in order for human life to survive and one day retake the Earth. And I, Blaine Hawkins, Commander of Alpha Team for the Allied Powers of Light have sworn to fight with Buffy and rid the Earth of vampires...so that we might live again.
Cut to Blaine (Blaine is about 6 feet tall, medium bulid and is 18 years old) and Scott hiding behind a garbage bin. Both wearing all black with a gun in holster, stakes attached to a holster on their legs and a sword at their side. Blaine has his kitana blade swordon his back. Blaine looks over the bin to see three vampires looking to feed about ten yards away. He ducks back down.
Blaine: Alright bud, there out in the open. Scotty you got the one on the left. I'll take the two on the right. Got it?
Scott: Yeah, I got it.
Blaine: Let's rock and roll.
Blaine and Scott jump out and start firing with their thermite plasma guns (the gun is like a handgun/machine gun together. They firing fire bullets. They have the effect on vampires like real bullets have with humans).Blaine shoots one of the vampires in the chest before he even notices, he turns to dust. Scott fires and misses over the shoulder of the other vampire. Scott then gets in a fist fight with the one of the vampires. Blaine reholsters his gun, looks at the vampire and puts up his fists and starts to get in a fist fight with the vampire. The vampire takes a right hand swing at Blaine. He blocks it and then grabs a stake from his leg holster. The vampire tries to swing again but Blaine kicks him in the face, the vamp falls and blaine stakes him. Vampire turns to dust. Cut to Scott with the other vampire on the ground. The vampire is overpowering Scott and he is trying to bite him. But then Blaine grabs the vampire by the head and breaks his neck. The vamp falls and then Blaine stakes him. Vampire turns to dust.cut to Blaine looking at Scott.
Blaine: Next time when you shoot at a vampire try hitting him. It's easier that way.
Blaine helps him up and they start to walk.
Scott: Sorry Blaine. I thought I could take him hand to hand.
Blaine: Ah, Don't worry about it. But you're the last of my team, man. I can't risk having someone else getting killed.
Scott: Eh, Forget about...
An unknown vampire catches them by surprise. He hits Blaine and Blaine falls to the ground. The Vampire grabs Scott and starts to feed on him. Scott is screaming in pain. The vampire turns around its Angelus in game face. Angelus wipes off the blood from his mouth and Scott drops to the ground. He's dead. Blaine gets up and sees Angelus. there about ten feet from each other.
Blaine: (angry) Angelus! (Snarls)
Angelus: (turns back to his human face and laughing) Oh sorry. Was he one of your guys? I guess that means that I have killed them all. I knew you were patrolling tonight so I decided to drop in personally and ask you one more time. (Blaine looks at him but nothing is phasing him )Why don't you join our side? Be on a winning team for once in your pathetic life. What do ya say?
Blaine: (angry) Eh Wussy Boy, why don't ya Bite me!
Angelus: (gets angry)You know...as much as that sounds temping, I was hoping a different answer than that.Even though you would be a nice snack...(he picks up Scott's gun) I'd rather see you incinerated.
Angelus fires at Blaine and Blaine jumps out of the way behind a stack of boxes. Angelus still fires but Blaine still avoids the plasma bullets. Angel wastes his ammo. He throws the gun down.
Angelus: Piece of junk.
Blaine comes out from behind the boxes.
Blaine: Well it looks like it's just you and me. Are you ready to die...again!
We see three vampires come out from behind Angelus. They stand right beside him.
Angelus: (mocking) Uh.....Oh. Four against one. Ya know... Ya gotta love those odds.
Cut to someone lied down on top of a building looking down on the situation. Through a scope. The person fires two shots hitting the two vampires to the right of Angelus. Angelus looks around and then looks up. The person jumps down to the ground. Still in the shadows, the person starts to walk towards Angelus. The person comes out of the shadows. It's Buffy, but much older (about 32 years old).
Buffy: (to Angelus) Hi hun. You miss me?
Cut to intro
Cut to Buffy walking towards Blaine. She stands beside him. Blaine is relieved that she showed up. Angel begins to worry.
Angel: Well you know how I'd love to stay and catch up but I gotta go.
Buffy and Blaine look at each other, then to Angel and raise the guns. Angelus grabs the other vampire and pushes him towards them. Buffy and Blaine start to fire hitting the other vampire while Angelus jumps into the sewer. The vampire turns to dust.
Cut to Buffy and Blaine. Blaine turns to Buffy and gives her a hug.
Blaine: You're timing was impeccable. I would have been dinner if you didn't show up.
Buffy: You know how I love a good entrance. Casualties?
Blaine: (put his head down) Yeah. Angelus got Scott. Take makes my whole team. All of my friends, my guardian...everyone.
Buffy places her hand on his shoulder and they turn to Scott's dead body.
Blaine: I'll take care of it.
Blaine walks towards Scotts body, kneels and says a prayer. Blaine then stakes him. He turns to dust.
Cut to Buffy. She walks towards Blaine who is crouching. She caresses his hair.
Buffy: I know he was good friend of yours. I have had so many chances to kill Angel. But I can't after what happened.
Blaine gets up turns to her.
Blaine: I know. When he got his soul back you had to kill him to close the portal. But Angel is gone, I don't think that the devil will let him go.
Buffy: (looks around) We should get back to the base.
Cut to base. The Base is huge, impentrable fortress. It holds over 200,000 people. It is heavily fortified with guard dogs, plasma cannons and men standing guard. Buffy and Blaine walk through the gates and the dogs sniff them out. Buffy pets them.
Buffy: Hiya, boys.
Guard: Slayer Summers. Nothing to report sir!
Buffy gives him a dirty look.
Guard: I mean....ma'am...uh...slayer....leader. (He then gets embareesed)
Blaine taps the guard on the shoulder.
Blaine: Jackson, get back to work.
Guard: Yes Commander Hawkins. Right away sir.
The guard goes back to patrol. Cut to buffy and Blaine walking through security and immunization. The base is totally immune to the outside world until a cure for the diseasecan be found. They approach a door with two hand print panels. They both place there hands down on the panels.
Computer voice: place your hand onto the panel and please, identify yourselves.
Buffy: Slayer Buffy Summers. Authorization code 4423-beta.
Blaine: Commander Blaine Hawkins. Authorization code 9812-alpha
Computer: Authorization approved for Slayer Buffy Summers and Commander Blaine Hawkins.
Buffy and Blaine enter the main room with many computers. Willow and Xander are there talking to each other at a computer screen.
Buffy: Hey guys.
They turn to look at Buffy. Xander and Willow look much older. Xander had a beard and Willow has strands of grey hair. Xander walks over to give Buffy a hug.
They hug.
Xander: Welcome back Buffy. So any luck finding the other Slayer?
Buffy: nope. Nodda. Zip. Zilch.
Xander: Ew... that bad huh?
Buffy nods. Xander turns to Blaine.
Xander: How was the hunt, Commander?
Blaine: More like we were the hunted General. Angelus showed up and killed Scott. I was outnumbered until Buffy showed up.
Xander: The Buffster...saves the days again. What that makes it 908?
Buffy: Actually 909 but who's counting.
They all smile. Buffy goes over to see Willow.
Buffy: (to willow) How goes our little project?
Willow (all proud) just finished it yesterday. How are you?
Xander walks over to Willow and Buffy.
Blaine: (inner monologue) Willow was the inventor. Buffy found it better if she was in charge of the base. General Xander was my team leader at one point in time until I became leader of Alpha team, once the best team of vampire hunters. I have no idea how he became a soldier. Willow invented the plasma guns. If we didn't get those the war would have been over years ago. I'm fourth in command next to Willow. Not too shabby for an 18 year old.
Cut to Buffy, Xander and Willow.
Buffy: Good job Will. Now we have to test it.
Willow: Got any ideas on who?
Xander: What if we put one of the pooches from the front in.
Willow and Buffy snaps their heads towards Xander and give him a dirty look.
Xander: What!? Their soldiers too you know.
Willow.: I have calibrated it to send back someone human. So no dogs?
Xander snaps his fingers.
Xander: Darn. That white husky hates me.
Blaine gets all confused.
Blaine: Send back? What do you mean by that exactly Willow?
Buffy looks at Blaine.
Buffy: We kept this a secret from you because it was highly classified. Will has this theory that we can send someone back into time to this day fifteen years ago. We can stop Jerec from unleashing the weapons and save the world, for the unteenth time. It'll change the future as we know it.
Blaine: No offense Buffy. But that would be like going back in time and killing Hitler. As much as I want to do that..it's...it's too risky. It can destroy all of space and time.
Xander: We have discussed this already and we'd rather take that chance.
Buffy walks towards Blaine. She gets right in front of him.
Buffy: Blaine...We want you to go back. Since the weapons were launched from Sunnydale. We can't risk sending ourselves back and run into our counterparts. You are the best fighter we have...heck, I trained you myself.
She turns away and looks into a mirror.
Buffy: Even though i wish I could go and see Giles and my mom again...Not to mention myself. I had much better hair and less wrinkles back then.
Xander: Well I ain't going back. I hated my senior year. I would have failed and not graduated. I hated high school and I'm pretty sure I still hate it.
Willow: Is that why you blew it up?
Xander turns to Willow.
Xander: Hey there were over 50 vampires and that was their secret headquarters and as I was in the Neighbor hood with about 10 pounds of C-4 explosives. I couldn't resist.
Blaine laughs with Xander. Buffy and Willow look at them and they stop.
Xander: (sarcasm) Right. Serious time. Got it.
They all turn to Blaine.
Buffy: Alright Blaine the time is now. It's up to you.
Blaine sits down in a chair and places his hands over his face. He wipes his foreheand and looks at them.
Blaine: (in a harsh tone) What do you want me to do? OK. Let me see. You want me to get into a time machine that hasn't been tested yet and it might kill me. Kill the most notorious vampire next to Angelus and Dru, probably have to deal with them as well, completely change history and maybe destroy the universe.
They all look at Blaine. Blaine takes a deep breath and smiles.
Blaine: Hell, I'm game. Sounds like fun.
Cut to Buffy, Xander and Willow looking through the glass, where the time machine is located, watching Blaine get ready. Blaine has a really worried look to his face. Cut to Blaine looking at Buffy. Cut to Buffy looking at Blaine.
Buffy: He looks nervous. I'll go settle him down.
Xander: (sarcasm) Why should he be nervous? I mean he'll either end up on the day we sent him back or get fried. No worries.
Willow: Xander knock it off. He won't die...He can't.
Cut to the room were Buffy is approaching Blaine. Blaine is putting on his jacket. He looks at Buffy and looks down.
Blaine: It might be cold when I get there...if I get there.
Buffy: I have known Will for years. She would never put you in danger. You got to believe me. Blaine....I wouldn't want you to go back if I knew this wouldn't work.
Blaine: (Take a deep breath) I know.
Buffy: Got your gear ready? You know your orders?
Blaine: Got my armour on, stakes, the crowd pleaser (Blaine points to his gun), Basket of goodies (Blaine's stash of plasma grenades), your letter to yourself and I think that's it if I'm not mistaken.
Buffy: Yeah, I'm positive that I won't believe who you are. (she pauses) If that made any sense. But just in case...
Buffy takes her cross off her neck, places it in Blaine's hand and closes it. Blaine is touched.
Blaine: Thanks....Buffy I don't want to die in that thing. I'm 18 years old. I have killed over 200 vampires. I can't go like this.
Buffy places her hand on the back of his head and pulls him towards her. She cradles him. He begins to shed a tear or two.
Buffy: You'll be fine Blaine. You'll have two days. Jerec launches the weapons at 11:00 am on Christmas morning. I love you, Blaine. I will fight along side you one last time.
Buffy wipes the tears from his eyes and gives him a kiss on his forehead.
Blaine: I love you too Buffy.....I'm ready.
Blaine turns around and steps into the pod. He examines the pod and turns to Buffy.
Blaine: I won't let you down. But I can't promise I won't kill Angel.
Buffy: I know but remember the objective. Let Jerec steal the weapons, then seek and destroy. Kill everyone in your way....even Angel.
Blaine: I understand.
Buffy closes the door to the pod and exits the room.
Cut to Willow and Xander in the control room.
Willow: (speaking into the intercom) O.K. we're ready. Good luck Blaine.
Xander grabs the microphone.
Xander: Commander Hawkins.
Blaine: Yes sir?
Xander: (all emotional) When you meet Cordelia tell her that I love her.
Blaine: Yes General. Understood.
Buffy takes the microphone.
Buffy: Good luck Blaine. Any means necessary to complete the mission.
Blaine: Got it, now will you send me off before I make a mess in my pants.
Willow pushes three button to start the countdown.
Computer voice: ten, nine, eight, seven, six....
Cut to Willow
Computer voice: ..five...
Cut to Xander.
Computer voice: ..four...
Cut to Buffy.
Computer voice: ..three...two...
Cut to Blaine.
Computer voice: ..one...zero.
A big light envelops the room. When the gang looks back into the room. Blaine is gone.
Cut to park at night. Buffy is fighting three vampires. Screen shows at the bottom: December 22, 1998. Buffy gives one a side kick to the head and then punches another in the face. They both fall to the ground. Buffy pulls out a stake ready to stake the third but a huge light flashes. Both Buffy and the vampire wonder what it was and they stop fighting.
Blaine: Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Blaine yells as he is falling from 25 feet high above the ground. Buffy and the vampires look up and see Blaine falling. Just as Blaine is ready to hit the ground they all get out of the way. Blaine hits the ground and a large thump is heard. He lands right between Buffy and the vampires. They all look at him. He has trouble getting up.
Blaine: Ow! That really hurt! Wait a minute...That means I'm still alive. (he looks up) What a Rush!!
Blaine jumps to his feet. They all looked very perplexed at Blaine. Blaine looks at Buffy and then at the vampires.
Blaine: What you've never seen a guy come out of thin air before? Although I wish I would have known that I was going to fall out of the air like that. Sorry to drop in univited. Buffy? Is that you? Whoa!
Buffy: Yeah and you are who?
Blaine: I'm B.. (he clues in that there are vampires around, he turns and looks at the vampires) Hold on a sec.
Blaine rips out a stake and throws it at one of the vampires. Its hits him in the chest and he's dust. Blaine then hits another with a roundhouse kick, then vampire falls to the ground hard. Blaine grabs the stake from the ground and he stakes another vampire. He turns to dust. Blaine gets up and see the other one. The vampire stars to growl at him. Blaine stops to think how he will kill this one. He puts his hand to his chin and then gets an idea. He pulls out his gun and shoots the vampire. The vampire goes flying back three feet and he turns to dust. He turns back to Buffy.
Blaine: Anyways as I was saying...
Buffy: Wait a minute. Hold on. Time out. Whistle the play dead. You are going to tell me who you are? Where you're from? How do you know who I am? How did you fall out thin air and (she points to the gun) Where the hell did you get that thing?
Blaine: O.K. My name is Blaine Hawkins, Commander of the Allied Powers of Light. I'm from Canada and 15 years into the future. You haven't changed that much in 15 years so I know who you are. I had no idea I was going to fall out of the sky, it wasn't in the time travel handbook and you gave me the gun on my first day of hunting.
Buffy: (she keeps shaking her head ) Do I have gullible written on my forehead? What do you take me for an idiot?
Blaine smiles at her, reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out an envelope.
Buffy: And how did…?
Blaine hands her the envelope. She takes it from his hand. Opens it up.
Blaine: I think that will have all your questions answered.
Buffy reads the note:
Buffy: (inner monologue)
Dear Buffy,
I know that if you get this letter Blaine has succeeded in getting back to you're point in time. I know that this might be hard for you to understand but the fate of the world rests in what he has to tell you. I know that you're just trying to get you're life back together. I know how you feel as I went through it myself. I wish I could come back myself and see you but it was too risky. Blaine was the best person for this mission. I know that you will work well together in order to accomplish the main objectives. Your future and everyone else's depends on You and Blaine. Take care and good luck.

Buffy: (disbelief) Oh my God. This is my hand-writing.
She slumps over and sits on the ground.
Buffy: This has to be a 10 on the bizzare-o-meter. (to Blaine) So you're from the future huh?
Buffy gives the impression that she still doesn't believe him.
Blaine: 15 years to be exact.
Buffy gets off her feet and goes over to Blaine.
Buffy: Blaine? It is Blaine right?
Blaine nods.
Buffy: Why are you here?
Blaine: I'm here to help you stop the end of the world. Tonight, Jerec a vampire who was supposedly dead will steal 10 bio-weapons from the army base…
She starts to laugh.
Blaine: What?
Buffy: (fed up) I have listened enough. (mocking) Go down this street and you will find a hospital. There you will go in and say that you are crazy and you need help. They will take care of you. I'm going home so why don't you take a hike Stalker Boy.
Buffy begins to walk away. Blaine grabs Buffy by the shoulder and Buffy grabs his arm. She flips Blaine over her shoulder. Blaine hits the ground hard. Buffy' cross and a picture falls out of Blaine's pocket. Blaine aids his back while Buffy picks up the cross and picture. The picture is of Buffy and Joyce. Buffy gets angry, jumps on Blaine and grabs his throat. Blaine struggles, but he won't cause any harm to Buffy.
Buffy: (yelling) WERE YOU IN MY ROOM!? HUH? TALK NOW!!!
Blaine: (Grasping for air) I…..can't……breath…..let go….
Buffy lets go of Blaine's throat. She stands up and so does Blaine. Blaine is trying to get his breath back.
Blaine: I already told you. I'm from the damn future and I know that sounds really bloody stupid but it's the truth. Now Armageddon is going to occur on Christmas morning now are you going to help me out or not.
Buffy: Alright. I'm going back home and making sure that you steal these from my room. If they are there, I will believe you…if not…well if you say you know as well as you do, then…you'll know what I'll do to you.
Blaine gulps and they walk away.
Ext: Buffy's house
Int: Buffy's hallyway.
Buffy opens the door and tells Blaine to come in. They both look over to see Joyce on the couch having a stiff drink watching television.
Buffy: Hi Mom?
Joyce doesn't even acknowledge her.
Buffy: (to Joyce) Like you care any ways.
Buffy: (to Blaine) Stay here. I'm going upstairs.
Blaine looking at Joyce all sad. Then turns to Buffy.
Blaine: Fine. I'll be right here.
Buffy goes upstairs. Blaine stays at keeps looking at Joyce, knowing fully well that if they don't succeed, she will die on Christmas morning. Joyce turns to Blaine.
Joyce: (all drunk) Whhooooo are you? One of Buffy's friends or another slayer or a vampire?
She begins to laugh. Blaine is not impressed and he starts to walk over to her.
Joyce: What never seen a drunk person before?
Blaine: You need help Joyce. You have a daughter upstairs that you have been ignoring for months and she needs you, and you need her. But look at you now. An alcoholic. She loves you and even though she has a duty to protect the Earth, she's still you're glint in your eye, whether you want to admit it or not. This isn't you…hiding behind the pain. Don't make the mistake that my parents did with my older brother, who ran off to L.A. because my parents were having problems. I never got to see him because of them. You're strong and I see that in you. Now... prove me right.
Joyce is startled at what Blaine said. Blaine turns around and goes upstairs.
Cut to Buffy looking at the picture. It is the exact same one. She flips it over and it reads Summer 1995. She heard Blaine enter the room.
Buffy: You were telling me the truth. What do we do now?
Blaine: Get some answers.
Cut to outside the Sunnydale Army Base. We see a man walking towards the gate. The man is wearing a black, hooded cloak protecting his face. The guard, who is standing in front, notcies the man approaching. The man just keeps walking. The guard comes to confront him.
Guard: Excuse me sir, this is a restricted area. I'll have to see you're clearance pass.
Man: As you wish…
The man removes his hood to reveal his game face. He grabs the guard and bites into his neck. The lifeless guard falls to the ground. We see that this is Jerec as he walks into the door saying: Bio-chemical weapons: No authorization allowed.
Cut to the Library. Giles, Willow, Buffy and Oz are looking at Blaine sitting at the table. Blaine looks uneasy. The Xander and Cordy come in the library holding hands. It looks like thy were just about to go out on a date.
Xander: Buff, this better be good. I hate this place enough to be here on Christmas holidays. (looks to Blaine) Who's this?
Blaine: General Harris. It's me. Blaine.
Xander gives him a weird look.
Xander: OK let me guess. You just escaped from the Psych ward at the hospital didn't you?
Buffy: I thought the same thing myself. He's from the future.
Xander: (sarcasm) Oh…that was going to be my second guess. (he rolls his eyes)
Giles: So…Blaine….Who are you after here again?
Blaine: Jerec. He is going to steal ten bio-weapons from the army base. God, Can I please stop sounding like a broken record.
Giles: Jerec…From the 15th century…But he was…was killed by the Slayer named Sylvia in 1724. He can't be still around.
Blaine: He is and as psycho as ever.
Giles: It can't be. He was killed. I have Sylvia's Slayers log saying that she killed him.
Blaine: Are you sure she wasn't writing a fictional story about it?
Giles gives him the death stare.
Buffy: How come I have never heard of this guy till now. You know I'm the Slayer..kinda need the info.
Giles takes off his glasses to wipe his eyes.
Giles: I don't know…
Blaine: (interrupts) he's been keeping a low profile. Not doing a lot of killing. I guess that he figured out that if everyone thought he was dead. It would be an advantage to him. He's been looking to give the world what he believes it truly deserves.
Cordelia: And that would be what?
Blaine looks right at her all serious.
Blaine: Death.
Cordelia: I bet you are a blast at parties.
Giles: (interrupts) Why didn't you stop him from stealing the weapons?
Blaine: I have my orders. We believed that if I prevent him from taking the weapons, he would go back into hiding waiting for another time to strike.
Willow: Why didn't you kill him before he takes the weapons?
Blaine: Because….I don't know where he is. I might be from the future but I don't have all the answers. I think I have an idea on who is going to help him
Cut to a warehouse in the seedy part of town. It's windows are covered with black spray paint. Cut to inside where we see Dru just dancing around. Angelus comes walking in.
Angelus: It's nice to see you all cheery tonight.
Dru: I just felt like….dancing after what I saw.
Angelus walks up to her.
Angelus: What did you see?
Dru: I saw two men….one with the stench of death who is got a surprise for us, the other with the heart of a lion, with the thirst for vengence.
Cut to someone rolling in a big crate.
Jerec: Special delivery for the living.
Angel and Dru react to the man's voice.
Angelus: Who's that?
Jerec pops his head out in game face.
Jerec: Name's Jerec.
Angelus is amazed. Jerec halts the crate and starts to check the place out.
Jerec: I love what you've done to the place. Very……quaint.
Angelus: You can't be Jerec. You were killed way before our time.
Jerec: No I can assure you that I'm still around. From what I hear you were dead for a while too.
Angelus: Ah yes! I tend not to think about it. Wow! I can't believe you're here. You're like our King Arthur.
Dru: Who is this luv? Is he our friend our one of those nasty vampires like my ex?
Angelus: No way, Honey. Jerec has killed more slayers than you and I have seen. Where have been for all this time? I gotta admit though, keeping a low profile for over 250 years is impressive.
Jerec turns back to human form.
Jerec: I've been hiding out in Europe all this time. Spent a century in Russia, about 20 years in Scotland. I've been all over. So I decided to come to the land of the free. I was getting bored.
Dru approaches him and puts her hand on Jerec's shoulder. He begins to rub it.
Dru: So…What do want?…..to play?…..To kill?….To….
Jerec looks at her.
Jerec: It was the second thing that you said, dear.
Dru: What's in the box? A present for me?
Jerec: Nope….for the world
Jerec begins to laugh in a sinister way.
Camera pans up to see that someone in the shadow is looking down. The person then disappears.
Cut to Buffy's face at the library.
Buffy: Angel and Dru!?
Blaine: Most likely.
Oz: Whoa. This is not good thing. We have to do something. Blaine if what you say is true, than it would put a really damper on my gig for new years.
Giles: Blaine there is just one more thing I need to know…Why were you in particular sent back? Why not Buffy or even….. (low voice) Xander
Xander: That's General Harris to you.
Blaine: We couldn't have sent one of you guys back, it was too risky. Dr.Rosenberg had the theory of two people, same time was not a good thing. I was in Canada when the weapons were launched and Buffy said that I was the best at the job. She wanted me to go back.
Cordelia checks Blaine out whispers to Buffy.
Cordelia: A very good choice too if I might add.
Buffy: No kidding.
Willow: Wow! I'm a doctor.
Blaine: Inventor actually. It's also you're job to look over the base while we're on patrol. You invented the time machine and this (he pulls his gun from his holster) The gun is about a foot long. It looks like a hand-held machine gun. They all looked amazed at the gun.
Xander: Man, now I'm convinced. I have never seen a gun like this before...
Xander starts to fool around with it. Blaine thinks that it's OK until he turns up the power on the gun.
Xander:….so what does it do…
Blaine: No wait!!
Xander by accident pulls the trigger, a huge noise is made and he realizes that he just blew up the door s to the library. Xander is stunned. He can't believe that he just blew up the doors.
Blaine: Uh..it does…. (blaine and Xander look at the mess)..that.
Blaine grabs the gun and puts on the safety.
Buffy: That's the second time I have seen that thing go off. What the hell does that thing shoot? Bullets?
Blaine: Not exactly. Thermite Plasma bullets. Hit a vamp with this and it's dust city.
Xander: The perfect Christmas gift.
Buffy: (to everyone but Blaine) Guys go in the back and see what we can find out about this Jerec guy. (to Blaine) There's only one problem. I don't know where Angel and Dru are?
Spike: I do. (he looks at the mess in the doorway) We're redecorating, I see.
Buffy and Blaine look to the doorway and see Spike standing there.
Blaine: Spike! You're here.
Spike looks at him like Blaine just left the mental institute.
Spike: New boyfriend Buffy? Never thought you were one to go with the loony tunes type.
Buffy: (mocking) He's from the future.
Spike: (laughing) Yeah right. Blaine how are you. I'm Prince Harry.
Buffy looks at Blaine and Blaine just shrugs his shoulders.
Spike: As much as I depise you. I feel that it is important to tell you that there's a new bloke in town.
Blaine walks up to Spike. Looks down at him.
Blaine: His name wouldn't happen to be Jerec would it?
Spike: (surprised) How did you know?
Blaine: Is he about my height, black hair and black eyes?
Spike: Yeah. How could you possible know that?
Blaine: Like Buffy told you…I'm from the future (in an english accent) you bloody idiot.
Buffy: Where are they Spike?
Spike: That abandoned shoe warehouse outlet in the red light district. Jerec was carrying a big crate with him.
Buffy turns to Blaine.
Buffy: The weapons?
Blaine: Most likely. (to Spike) It's good to see you again, friend.
Spike: (smirks) Whatever.
Spike walks away.
Blaine turns to Buffy.
Blaine: Long story.
Cut to Willow, Xander and Cordy all coming back with books. A huge stack of them.
Xander: Giles? (Giles turns to him) ever heard of Cliff's notes.
Giles smirks.
Giles: Ah…Yes…Well I guess we should all start looking for a weakness of Jerec's.
Xander: (sarcasm) Yay! It's look up stuff time again at the school library. I wonder what all the geeks are doing on their Friday night.
They all grab a book. But Blaine doesn't pick up one.
Willow: Grab a book Blaine and come help us.
Blaine: Uh….I can't….I should be out on patrol finding some answers about Jerec.
Buffy: I'll go with you.
Blaine nods his head. He grabs Buffy's weapons bag and tosses it to her.
Blaine: Let's do it.
Blaine walks out the door while Buffy is standing there. Willow looks at Buffy and walks over to her.
Willow: Buffy?….Buffy? (she starts to wave her hand in front of her face)
Buffy: What? Oh…Will.
Willow: He's kinda cute.
Buffy turns to Willow.
Buffy: Very cute.
Blaine sticks his head in the doorway.
Blaine: You coming? Or what?
Buffy: Yeah!
Buffy and Blaine leave.
Willow: (to the gang) I think Buffy has the hots for Blaine.
Cordelia: I don't blame her.
Xander snaps his head at Cordy.
Xander: Hey! Well it was cool that he called me General. Still, I've only known him for ten minutes and I like him better than Angel.
Giles is in the background reading the book.
Giles: (takes off his glasses) Oh dear.
Willow: What is it, Giles?
Giles: (puts his glasses back on) Jerec, born 1482 in Iceland, turned in 1504 by none other than the Master himself. It also says here that he liked to use magic to torture his victims….
Xander: I hear ya. I hate card tricks too. That's torture enough for me.
Giles: That's great for you Xander.
Oz: Didn't you say that he was killed by a previous slayer?
Giles pushes some books aside and picks up Sylvia's diary.
Giles: It says here that while in London in 1684, Jerec encountered Sylvia at Tower Bridge. (he turns to the page) Ah here it is….right here February 5th, 1684. "I had my third encounter with Jerec, the Masters servant tonight at Tower Bridge. We fought until he pinned me down. I managed to grab a steak and stab him in the heart. He got up and feel into the Thames. It's over. The man who killed my family and slaughtered my friends is finally gone."
Cordy: Is it possible that this Sylvia missed?
Xander looks at Cordy.
Xander: (sarcasm) Well I don't think Blaine would come back 15 years to win this year's Gingerbread House Contest.
Giles: Well we have to find out more. Keep looking.
Giles starts to leave the library.
Willow: Where are you going, Giles?
Giles looks back.
Giles: I know someone who might be able to tell me more about Jerec.
Cut to the park where Buffy and Blaine are on patrol.
Blaine: We should be going to this place to find Jerec.
Buffy: I know Angel. He's out looking for a snack for his new pal. (she looks at Blaine) So how do you know Spike?
Blaine: He and I were once good friends. We had a certain agreement. I give him a bag of blood every once in awhile, he helped me fight Angelus. One time when I was in a huge fight with Spike at my side. He just disappeared. I think that he was killed that day but I know Spike well. He didn't die but I had no idea what happened to him.
Buffy: Oh… (she turns to him and stops him) Wait how are you suppose to get back?
Blaine starts to walk again with Buffy standing behind him. With Blaine's back turned to her. He stops.
Blaine: This is a one way trip. If I succeed, I'm to make a life for myself in Sunnydale.
Buffy: Boy, it would be nice not to fight vampires on my own for a change.
Blaine's head jerks up.
Blaine: You here that?
Buffy: Yeah. Must be vampires.
Blaine reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out a pair of glasses with red lenses. Buffy looks at the glasses.
Buffy: That's one of those future things. Right?
Blaine: Infrared vision glasses. Actually these were invented in 1995 by the U.S government. After Armageddon, it's a lot easier to break into CIA headquaters to get some goodies. (he puts them on and begins to look around)….Wait a….Buffy…two vamps about 20 yards to your right.
Buffy looks over.
Buffy: I got 'em. You…stay.
Buffy sneaks her way over. Blaine still looks around.
Blaine: Stay? Why does she get all the fun?
Cut to Blaine's vision sight. We see in red Blaine looking around and then all of a sudden Angelus's pops up in game face. Blaine gasps.
Angelus: Nice shades
Angelus then puches Blaine square in the face knocking off his glasses. Blaine's momentum makes him fall to the ground. He gets to his knees and pulls out his gun. But Angelus kicks it out of his hand and then kicks him in the stomach.
Cut to Buffy fighting the two vamps. She gives one a spinning back kick and then stakes the other. Vampire turns to dust. She begins to start giving the other vampire a series of right and left punches. The vamp falls tothe ground.
Cut back to Angelus and Blaine. Blaine is on the ground aiding his stomach. Angel gives Blaine a sinister smile.
Angelus: So are you Buffy's new beau. (he picks up Blaine's infrared glasses) Whoa you must be rich. These must have cost you a fortune….. but you know what that means (he breaks them) they are just to darn fragile.
Cut to Blaine getting all angry. He gets up and looks at Angelus.
Blaine: (angry) I'm gonna rip you apart. Limb from limb.
Angelus just starts to laugh at him.
Angelus: (laughing) you know I can't see that happening.
Blaine starts to approach Angelus. Angelus tries to give Blaine a right hook but Blaine grabs his arm and flips him over his shoulder.
Angelus: I'm impressed.
Blaine ignores the comment. As Angelus gets up and tries to punch him again but Blaine blocks it and grabs Angelus's coat. Blaine then head butts Angelus and tries to give Angelus a left hook. But Angelus blocks his punch. They keep punching and kicking at eachother but both of them block every shot. But Blaine catches Angelus with a full right hook to the face. Angelus is dazed then Blaine jumps in the air and gives Angel a kick to the face. Angelus falls onto the ground. Blaine walks over to Angelus but Angelus grabs a tree branch and swings it at Blaine. It hits Blaine in the face and Blaine falls over. Angelus then stands over Blaine who has a bad cut over his eye.
Angelus: (mocking) Sorry….did that hurt? (laughing)
Blaine: Not as much as this will.
Blaine pins his legs aound, sweeping Angelus's legs from under him and Angelus hits the ground. Blaine gets to his knees and gives Angelus a two-hander right to his face. Angelus and Blaine get up at the same time. They look at each other. Blaine has a cut over his eye and Angel is bleeding from his mouth. Angelus wipes the blood and looks at Blaine.
Blaine: (mocking) Sorry…Did that hurt?
Angel growls and runs at Blaine. He stops and starts trying to punch Blaine but Blaine keeps blocking all of his punches. Blaine then tries to kick Angelus in the side. But Angelus grabs Blaine's leg. Angelus flips Blaine over but not before Blaine can swing his other leg around. Cut to Angelus's face getting smacked by Blaine's heel. Angelus falls to the ground. Blaine hits the ground and the flips right back up. Cut to Buffy she punches the other vampire, then spins around and stakes him in the chest. Vamp turns to dust. Buffy then takes a look at Blaine standing up looking down at Angelus, who aiding his mouth. Blaine then grabs Angelus but Angelus grabs Blaine by the throat and lifts him in to the air. Cut to Buffy. She sees this and she starts running over to help Blaine.
Angelus: (Choking Blaine) I got to admit you gave me quite a fight but this is where it ends.
Blaine tries to stuggle. He manages to speak.
Blaine: (angry) Wrong..... More ...... like it's the end for you!
Cut to Blaine's boots where Blaine uses one foot to unleash a 3 inch blade from his other boot. Blaine then Stabs Angelus in the shoulder with the blade attached to his boot. Angelus shrieks in pain and drops Blaine. Blaine gets up and we see that Blaine is full of rage. Angelus gives Blaine a right hook right to his face. But it doesn't phase Blaine at all. Cut to Buffy. She sees the fight going on and she can't believe what she is seeing. Blaine is actually winning a fight against Angelus. Angel then takes a huge swing at Blaine but Blaine ducks and hits Angelus with a left jab, then a right straight punch, then a left hook to the body and then finishes him with a right hook to the face. Angelus is so dazed right now. Cut to Buffy. She starts to walk towards them to get a better look.Cut to Blaine and Angelus, Angelus tries to hit him one more time but Blaine blocks his punch, grabs his coat and throws him six feet into a tree. Angelus hits the tree horizontally and falls down. Blaine just walks over with a big smile on his face.
Angelus: (breathing heavily) So....I guess your him.
Blaine gets within Angelus's distance. Angelus tries one last kick and hits Blaine in the side but it doesn't harm Blaine at all. Blaine then grabs Angels and pulls down his coat over his arms, so he can't move them. Blaine just starts to whale on him with forearms shots. Blaine hits him about ten times. After the last shot, Angels hits the ground. Blaine gets right in his face.
Blaine: (serious) You know what Angel-wuss. There's a new kid in town. I want you to tell Jerec that I'm coming for him. You know I have wanted to kill you for so long but I kinda like seeing you in pain like this. If you or anyone else try to get in my way, you won't be so lucky.
Blaine picks up Angelus and throws him. Angelus tumbles over but then gets up and runs off.
Blaine yells at Angelus.
Blaine: THE NAME'S BLAINE, ANGELUS. REMEMBER IT!
Xander: HE DID WHAT!?
Cut to Willow's room. Willow and Buffy are sitting on the bed while Xander is pacing around.
Xander: Let me get this straight. Our new friend fought Angel and WON?! How?
Buffy: I don't know but Angel was hurting...and bad.
Willow: Could Blaine be a vampire? I mean he knows Spike pretty well.
Buffy: I don't know? I mean no normal person can take punch like that from Angel and not have any affect. I saw Blaine's face while he was fighting....he was so full of rage and hatred towards Angel. Not even a Mack truck would have stopped him.
Xander: (rolls his eyes and looks at them) Oh C'mon. Don't tell me you're falling for the new bad boy in town who beats the crap out of the ex-boyfriend routine. I've seen it....and it never works.
Buffy and Willow look at each other and smirk.
Willow: So where is he?
Buffy: (sighs) He said he was going to find some more vampires. He told me that I should take the rest of the night off. I think his encounter with Angel struck a nerve.
Xander: (sarcasm) Oh..you think.
Willow sees Blaine through the window on her porch.
Willow: Blaine!
Blaine waves and Xander opens the door. Blaine just stands there aiding a bad cut over his eye.
Xander: What are you doing?
Blaine: Am I allowed to come in?
Xander hesitates.
Xander: Yeah....sure.
Blaine walks in and takes off his jacket and places it on a chair. He removes his armour, his gun holster belt, his stakeholder on his leg and takes off the strap holding his sword on his black. Xander, Willow and Buffy all look at him. Blaine notices.
Blaine: What's on your minds?
Buffy: Did you find any vampires?
Blaine: I went to this place that you guys always talked about called the Bronze, scoped the place out and did the mirror test. Two vamps failed.
Xander: Mirror test?
Blaine grabs his coat and removes a small pocket mirror.
Blaine: Mirror test. All I did was stand at the exit and wait for people to walk by. If your not in the mirror...that's where the fun begins.
Blaine gets off his chair and lies down on the floor. Blaine shuts his eyes to sleep. Xander grabs a cross from Buffy's bag.
Xander: (nonchalant) Soo....any word on the street about Jerec?
Xander sneaks up to Blaine and thrusts the cross to his face. Blaine's eyes open wide and he grabs Xanders arm placing it in an armbar. Xander is screaming in pain. Buffy gets up.
Blaine: (angry) Drop it!
Buffy: Blaine! Let him go!
Xander drops the cross and Blaine lets him go. Blaine looks on the ground and see the cross.
Willow: It's good that my parents are in Phoenix right now.
Blaine looks at Xander and shakes his head. Blaine bends down and picks up the cross.
Blaine: Alright. You guys are starting to get super-freakin' on my here. (to Xander) Why the hell did you shove this in my face. (he slams the cross into Xanders hand)
Xander: I thought you were a ..... (put his hands to his mouth) Vampire (in a coughing sound).
Blaine raises his eyebrows.
Willow: Buffy was telling us about you're fight with Angel.
Buffy approaches Blaine.
Buffy: Blaine, he clocked you in the face with a right hook and it didn't even budge you..... What are you?
Blaine sits down on the chair and looks up.
Blaine: I guess this is where I tell you guys who I am. you'd all Better sit (they sit) In three days...when Armageddon occurs....I'm alone in Canada at the age of four. My family was killed by the virus. I walked out of my house in my pyjamas and saw that no one was around. I started to cry. Then a man put his coat over me thinking that I was cold. It was my neighbour Master Jin. He too lost his wife and three children to the virus. He took me in and raised me. He started to realize that he wasn't going to be able to look after me forever so he taught me how to fight. Four years went by...that's when the vampires hit our city. They were destroying everyone in their path. So by word of mouth we heard of an organization called the Allied Powers of Light that was devoted to fight against the forces of evil...we packed up and headed to Sunnydale.....When we got to Sunnydale, it was dark and we knew that we had to watch out. Angelus and his goons managed to stop us....Angelus grabbed Master Jin and he drained him. He then looked right at me and I got out of the car...but it was too late....his goons grabbed me and started to feed on my young body...I had almost died until (he looks right at Buffy and Xander) you guys showed up and saved me.......Since I had lost so much blood, I needed a donor. Now I had such a rare blood type that only Buffy's could match mine. A transfusion was done right away or else I would have died....(to Buffy) your blood saved my life. ...but it did much more than that. I didn't realize it at that point in time but two years later...I became faster, stronger and more agile than even some of the best vampire hunters. I snuck out of the base one day and met up with General Harris's crew. (to Xander) you told me to go back or you'll be killed. I started to make my way back and two vamps jumped me. But since that I knew how to fight...I managed to kill them both. General Harris informed Buffy of my potential and (to Buffy) you began to train me yourself. As I grew, I became stronger. At the age of 13, I went on my very first hunt as a soldier for the A.P.L. Buffy said that I had to go with Xander's group. That first night I killed five vampires, two of them by hand. At the age of 16, I became Commander of Alpha Team, the top team of vampire hunters. Angelus wiped them all out....Angelus never wanted to kill me...he wanted to change me. Make me a vampire. I kept on refusing. Tonight, I knew I could take him because I had the element of surprise. I wanted him to die but I felt alive seeing him suffer. But next time...He dies. That's about it.
The gang look at each other. Buffy turns to Blaine.
Buffy: So you're like...me. A Slayer.
Blaine: No..there is only one slayer. Well two..but I'm not one of them. I'm not as strong as you.
Willow: So what's your plan?
Blaine lies down on the floor.
Blaine: It's late. We have time. I'll tell you tomorrow.
Blaine grabs his jacket and uses it as a blanket.
Buffy: Oh Will. Do you want to go shopping with me for presents tomorrow?
Willow: Uh..sure..I'll call Oz.
Xander: You guys would happen to go lingerie shopping are you? Cause if you are....
They give Xander the death stare.
Xander: I'll be in the CD store. (he gets up and leaves) Bye. see you tommorow.
Buffy: (to willow) I stay here tonight.
Buffy looks over to Blaine sleeping on the floor. Buffy walks over to Willow's cabinet and picks up a pillow. She goes over to Blaine and places it under his head. She then positions her hand on his cheek and then kisses his forehead. Buffy is falling for Blaine.
cut to Sunnydale mall.
Camera pans across Sunnydale mall. People are in the Christmas rush. Everything is out of control. Buffy and Willow have shopping bags in their hands walking through the mall. Buffy looks like she's in a daze. Willow turns to look at her.
Willow: Buffy, you're zoned out. What's up? (she gets all excited) Is it Blaine?
Buffy turns to Willow.
Buffy: Yes...No....well maybe. Ewe, I don't know. I have... feelings for him...but I don't know.
Willow: I haven't seen that face on you since you've met...
Buffy stops Willow.
Buffy: (interrupts) don't say his name.
They start to walk again.
Willow: Well I don't want to play devil's advocate but...you do.
Buffy takes a deep breath.
Buffy: I know...(under her breath) I can feel it.
Willow: So where is Blaine anyways?
Buffy: He wanted to look at the mall alone.
Cut to Blaine in the CD store. The song that is playing is Natalie Imbrugia's torn.
Lyrics: ...this is how I feel, I'm cold and I'm ashamed. Lying naked on the floor...
Blaine leaves the store and the music starts to mute. Blaine starts to walk through the mall. He passes and electronics store. A T.V. in the window is playing Baywatch. Blaine takes a quick look and just keeps on walking. Then he clues in and starts to walk backward to where he saw the T.V. He sees the woman of Baywatch in the screen and he begins to stare. People walk by seeing Blaine looking literally right into the screen. Xander then walks by and he notices Blaine. Xander stands right behind Blaine.
Xander: Yup...that was my reaction when I first saw Baywatch. Your telling me you've never seen Baywatch before?
Blaine looks up at Xander.
Blaine: Xander. There are only 300,000 people living in the United Sates at most during my time. We have a world to reclaim so there is no time for Television.
Xander: Good point.
They both start to look at the screen and drool.
Cut to Cordelia who sees them both staring at the television. She approaches them and stands behind them.
Cordelia: Uh...Earth to Horny toads...keep this up and I'll have to get a wet floor sign here in order for shoppers not to slip and fall because of your drool.
Xander and Blaine look back at her and then look back at the screen. Cordy gets upset and grabs them both by the ears. Blaine and Xander wince.
Cordy: (angry) In other words, MOVE IT!
She throws them and let's go of their ears.
Cut to Buffy, Willow and Oz at the food court having lunch. Cordy, Xander and Blaine come and sit down. Cordelia looks at Blaine.
Cordy: Blaine, you need some new clothes because you look like you're off to fight in Iran.
Blaine looks at his clothes. He's wearing his combat outfit. Black shirt, black military pants and black boots with a dark blue jacket with his patches of the A.P.L. on them.
Blaine: What's wrong with my clothes?
Cordy: Well...you have really nice blue eyes so I suggest a grey silk shirt with blue or dark blue cords.
Blaine: Hey, I like the way I dress. You never....
Xander notices something in the distance.
Xander: Hey Buff.
Buffy looks at Xander.
Xander: It's your number one fan.
Buffy looks to where Xander was looking and sees Principal Snyder.
Buffy: Oh look. The troll decided to come from under the bridge.
Blaine looks all confused.
Blaine: Who the heck are you talking about?
Buffy points to Snyder to Blaine.
Buffy: That little nerd of a principal. He let me back into school but I can't graduate with you guys this year.
Xander: Well...considering I might not pass this year anyways. I'll be there with you next year.
Cordelia gets the shivers.
Cordy: Did you ever notice...?
Xander: What Honey?
Cordelia: I don't know...It's just that...he scares me these days. Evil like, you know?
Xander: Yeah and when was the last time he saw a dentist. Have you seen his teeth?
Blaine sneaks off without anyone noticing. They keep talking for about a minute and then Buffy starts to look around.
Buffy: Where did Blaine go?
Cut to Blaine approaching Snyder. He gets the same look as he did when he fought with Angelus.
Blaine: Mr. Snyder?
Snyder: Yes..and who are you?
Blaine pulls his A.P.L. authorization pass and show it fast to Snyder, so that Snyder doesn't actually look at it.
Blaine: Mall security. Come with me please.
Blaine grabs Snyder and takes him to the entrance of the underground parking lot in the back of the store. He pushes Snyder against the wall and starts to look around to see if anyone is watching.
Snyder: (worried) I'm sure there is some mistake.
Blaine gives him a death stare look and starts to approach Snyder.
Snyder: (worried) I'm going to report you to your supervisor.
Blaine starts to chuckle and then grabs Snyder by his coat. He lifts him way into the air.
Snyder: I can have you arrested!
Blaine: (mocking) But...I thought all the cops in Sunnydale are "very stupid."
Snyder: What do you want? Who are you?
Blaine: Who I am doesn't matter. But I know who you really are and if you want me to give some nice photographs to the press. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to publish them. But what I want is for you to leave Buffy alone! Let her be with her friends and graduate this year.
Snyder: You can't blackmail me!
Blaine: Oh well...It's either blackmail or the alternative. What do you want? (he looks right at Snyder and smiles) I think you do. Here's a little preview.
Blaine puts him down and grabs him by the shoulders. Blaine moves him to the hood of a parked car. Blaine slams his head on the hood of the car.
Blaine: Do we want more?
Snyder: (dazed) No...more!
Blaine: Then, do we have a deal?
Snyder: Alright! Alright! Just leave me alone! Please.
Blaine lets him go and points to his face.
Blaine: I want Buffy in her Senior year by sundown or else. I'll sick a good friend on you and believe me you don't want to meet this guy. Or I could tell everyone who you are. The choice should be simple.
Snyder holding his nose that is bleeding.
Snyder: Yes...I understand.
Blaine: Good.
Blaine leaves the parking lot and Snyder just watches him leave.
Cut to the gang still sitting in the food court. Blaine walks by the gang. He looks to Buffy.
Blaine: Congrats, you're now a senior and part of the class of '99. I'm going to stop wasting time and going to meet Jerec.
Blaine just keep walking and Buffy looks at everyone and runs to catch up to Blaine. She starts to walk with him.
Buffy: Blaine. What did you do?
Blaine looks at Buffy while walking.
Blaine: Had a little chit-chat with your principal. I convinced him to let you graduate this year.
Buffy: How did you do that?
Blaine stops and looks right at her. He touches her cheek.
Blaine: He won't bother you anymore. I promise.
Blaine walks away.
Buffy: Meet us at the library at 8:00! OK
Blaine looks back at Buffy and nods. He keep walking thorough the mall. Buffy turns around and walks back to where everyone is sitting.
Cordy: Buffy? Are you alright?
Willow: What exactly did Blaine mean by "you're a part of the class of '99"
Buffy: He means that he convinced Snyder to make me a Senior. I get to graduate this year.
Oz: That's great!
Oz looks at Buffy and she looks unhappy. Cut to Buffy looking at Blaine walking from a distance. Blaine stops and looks back at Buffy. Then he turns the corner and leaves.
Int: Angelus's new hideout.
Everything is dark. Jerec is sitting on a chair with his feet up on crate. He looks over in Angelus's direction and shakes his head in disappointment. Camera pans to Dru giving Angel a bottle of blood and red wine. Angelus has a wet cloth and he's aiding his mouth still from his fight with Blaine.
Dru: Here's one of Drusilla's famous drinks. Blood and Red.
Angelus drinks the bottle down fast because he's so angry. He looks at the bottle.
Angelus: Great mix!
He then slams the bottle on the ground and it shatters. Dru gets all upset. Angelus looks at Dru.
Angelus: Sorry baby. I'm really sorry.
Dru feels all better.
Dru starts to pet Angelus's head.
Dru: Are you still mad at that man...dear..soon his rage and vengeance will lead him to us. Angelus clues in.
Angelus: Why? What do you mean?
Dru: He's....from a great distance...but not so far from here.
Jerec: Angelus? What the hell is she talking about?
Angelus: Hun..Speak English please.
Dru looks at Jerec.
Dru: He's here for our guest...he's here to stop you from having your fun...(she looks at Angelus) he wants you to suffer...
Jerec: (interrupts) looks like he's already accomplished that. (he starts to laugh)
Dru: (to Angelus) Wanna hear the screams again pet? There music to my ears...the fear...the pain...the sirens of death as they approach...
Jerec gets annoyed.
Jerec: Yeah that great. Dru, I'll be there soon. (he smiles at her)
Dru: OK (she skips off into another room)
Jerec looks right at Angelus.
Jerec: (sarcasm) Boy Angelus. You sure know how to pick 'em one traitor who decided to whale on you with an andiron and the other who's...well....how can I put this nicely.....NUTS!
Angelus puts his hand up.
Angelus: Dru is the least of your worries, it's this Blaine we have to worry about. He's not like any one I have ever faced other than the Slayer.
Jerec examines Angelus's face.
Jerec: No kidding! But this guy and the slayer could be a stint in our plan.
Angelus: Just what is our..goal?
Jerec walks over to the crates with the weapons. He picks one up and lays it on the ground. He opens it up and lifts out a rocket and fixes the rocket stand.
Angelus: (sarcasm) Oh look...it's a rocket. Big deal. So what?
Jerec: This "rocket" has a Bio-chemical weapon called Endiona. It infects the body and prevents the lungs from taking in Oxygen. That means that whomever breaths this will choke and die. I plan on this one to be a present for Sunnydale and the rest of the North America. All the rest will be aimed at a every continent on the globe. It will infect the world killing everyone leaving the world to us.
Angelus: I know you have been in a bubble or something away from the real world for a while but they have something called radar and anti-missile rockets. I saw a special on CNN on how they can shoot them down...
Jerec: (interrupts) I saw that special too but if this blows up then it will unleash the chemical. Also, it will be Christmas. No one is going to see this coming.
Jerec and Angelus look at each other and smile.
Cut to nighttime. Everyone is at the library except for Buffy.
Xander: So Giles did you find this contact of yours?
Giles: no I had no luck...except for what I read in this ancient book of spells. I think there is a weakness to defeat Jerec.
Willow: Who is this contact?
Buffy then walks into the library.
Giles: Buffy. You're here. Where's...Blaine?
Buffy looks around.
Buffy: I told him to meet us here at 8:00 sharp. What time is it?
She looks at the clock on the wall over the desk. It reads: 8:23 P.M.
Willow: Do you know where he could be?
Buffy doesn't know and then she clues in.
Buffy: Oh No!
Xander: What?
Buffy starts to walk out the door.
Buffy: He's going to Angel's hideout. Alone! Oz!
Oz: I'll grab my truck.
Cut to Blaine walking down an alley in the red light district. He looks around and sees about 30 yards away the shoe warehouse. He keeps walking towards the hideout when all of a sudden Spike jumps out from behind a large bin sporting his game face. Blaine jumps back and grabs for his gun. He stops.
Blaine: Geez, if it was anyone else but you. You would have been dead where you stand...you know what I mean.
Spike changes back to his human form.
Spike: What is with you anyways? How do you know me? Before yesterday, I've never seen you a day before in my bloody life and you act like we're mates.
Blaine: In another time we are good friends until you pulled the Houdini act on me.
Spike: Alright, just what do you think you doing here? You plan on going into the lion's den?
Blaine: I can take them.
Spike: Don't be a bloody fool! You kicked Angelus's rear and I had a jolly good time watching. But it's just not him in there (he points to the hideout) this time.
Blaine: Look. I'm going in.
Blaine starts to walk to the side staircase. He looks up and sees a door at the top of the stairs. He looks at Spike and then walks up the stairs.
Spike: (to himself) You got rocks, kid.
Cut to the inside of Oz's van. Buffy is riding shotgun while Xander, Cordy and Willow are in the back. It screeches when it make a sharp turns around the corner and stops the flow of traffic. Horns start to go off.
Buffy: How long will it take from here Oz?
Oz: About ten minutes.
Buffy: Make it five!
Oz: I'll Try.
He slams down on the pedal and they start to speed down the street.
Cut to Blaine looking from the door window. He opens the door and walks in. He's on a another floor take looks down onto the main room where he hears Jerec and Angelus talking. He sees a vampire guarding the door but he's asleep in a chair. Blaine gets right up to him and grabs the vampire. He throw the vampire off the balcony to the main floor. Cut to the main floor where Angelus and Jerec are talking then they are interrupted from the vampire who makes a loud noise when he hits the ground. Jerec and Angelus look up and see Blaine. Blaine Jumps onto the railing and onto the main floor. Blaine stands 15 feet away from Jerec and Angelus. Angelus starts to growl but Jerec hold him back.
Jerec: So you're him. You're the one who's here to stop me. So how did you know?
Blaine: It doesn't matter. All that matters is that you're going down and I'll take you and everyone else who tries to get in my way.
Jerec begins to laugh.
Jerec: Such tough words for a mortal. (mocking) From what are you hear to stop me from doing?
Blaine points to the weapons behind Jerec.
Blaine: Well those aren't fireworks behind your back are they?
Jerec: Oh right.. the weapons...just my little Christmas present for the world.
Angelus starts to growl.
Jerec: Easy Angelus....(he turns to Angelus) You know what I'm in the mood for a nice spectator sport. How about you Angelus?
Angelus: Ah Yes. Sounds good. Dru?!
Dru comes out from another room. She looks right at Blaine.
Dru: You're a tough little kitten aren't you?
Angelus smiles wickedly at Dru.
Angelus: Now C'mon Dru. Where are you manners? (he looks at Blaine) Bring out the welcoming committee for our guest here.
Dru looks at Blaine and starts to Giggle. She whistles. All of a sudden ten vampires come out from all around Blaine. Blaine starts to look around and he begins to worry. Not even Blaine has been in a situation like this before. Blaine looks at Jerec and Jerec looks at him.
Jerec: Let the games begin.
Jerec begins to laugh and the vampires look at Blaine ansd slowly start to approch him. Blaine takes a deep breath and rips out his gun and fires and hits two vamps but they rush at him. Blaine takes one one them right in the stomach. But another gives Blaine a bodycheck from behind. Blaine's gun goes flying into the corner of the room. Blaine is slow to get up. A vampire grabs his arms but Blaine flips her over, grabs one of his stakes and stakes the vampire. She turns to dust. Then the rest of the vamps jump on top of him. They wrestle trying to get a hold of Blaine. All of a sudden Blaine gets up throwing all the vamps off him. He has the most angriest looks on his face. He start to throw punchs and kicks at all of the vampires. He's standing up to all of them.
Cut to Jerec and Angelus watching.
Jerec: I got to admit. He can fight.
Cut back to Blaine fighting. Two vamps manage to get a hold of his arms he's trying to struggle but he can't move them. The rest of the vamps get ready to feed off his body.
Cut to Blaine's gun and someone grabbing a hold of it.
Cut back to the vampires. We hear a shot go of from the gun and it hits one of the vampires. They all look over, even Jerec, Dru and Angelus. It's Spike. He smiles and examines the gun.
Spike: Cute toy. (he looks over to Angelus and Dru) Well if it isn't the lovely couple.
Cut to Jerec.
Jerec: Get him!
The rest of the vamps rush over to get Spike but Spike shoots one of them and starts to get in a fist fight with the other 2.
Cut to Blaine. Blaine manages to break the hold. He slams one down to the ground getting his right arm free. He still hold on the the other vampire, grabs a stake from his holder and stakes the vampire. He turns to dust. The other two vampires start to fight Blaine but Blaine is too much for them. Seeing that they are all cose to eachother. He looks at them and performs and full spinning roundhouse kick hitting them both and knocking them to the floor.
Cut to Spike fighting off the other vampires. He has a hold of one while the other is one the ground.
Cut to Blaine.
Blaine: Spike!
Spike reacts to his voice.
Blaine: Here! (he tosses over a stake and Spike catches it)
Cut to Spike who then stakes the vampire and the vampire turns to dust. Then he looks down at the other and stakes him too.
Cut to Blaine who is fighting with the vampires still grabs one of the vamps and gives him a series of punches. then the other vampire decides to sneak up behind him.
Cut to Spike who notices this. He looks down and sees Blaine's gun. He picks it up and points it to the vamp behind Blaine but he can't get a good shot without hitting Blaine. He comtemplates it and then holds off.
Cut to Blaine. He gives the vampire a right kick to the side but then he notices the vamp behind him in the corner of his eye. He then swings his leg back hitting the vampire in the gut. The vampire falls back.
Cut to Spike. He sees that he has a clear shot and he fires at the vampire. It hits him and he turns to dust.
Cut to Blaine. Blaine starts to absolutely pummel the vampire giving him punches and kicks to the face.
Cut to Spike.
Spike: Oh would you just kill him and get it over with.
Blaine grabs a stake from the ground and flips it up. He catches it and stakes the vampire. He turns to dust.
Spike: (relieved) Thank you. Took you bloody long enough.
Blaine approaches Spike who is still carrying the gun.
Blaine: Thanks for backing me up.
Spike: Hey you can't have all the fun. And I hate to admit it but you and I make a pretty good team.
Blaine smiles.
Spike looks at the gun.
Spike: (to Blaine) Where the hell did you get this thing?
Cut to Jerec. He stands up. We see that his eyes are starting to get bright red.
Cut to Blaine and Spike looking worried at Jerec.
Cut to in front of the hideout. A van pulls up and stops. Buffy and the gang get out of the van. They start to look around.
Buffy: I think this is the place?
Cut to inside the hideout. Jerec is starting to chant something. He reaches out with his hand then all of a sudden a black fireball fires out of his hand. It hits Blaine right in the chest, he starts flying back though the store window.
Cut to outside. A lound crash is heard and Blaine comes flying, back first, out the window and lands ten feet from the van. He hits the ground hard. Buffy comes running to his aid.
Buffy: Blaine!
Xander: Yup! I think this is the place.
She gets to him putting her hand behind his head and cradles him. Blaine eyes are closed but he manages to speak.
Blaine: (soft voice) Spike....he's still...inside... (Blaine is now uncounscious)
Buffy gets all worried.
Buffy: Blaine!...Blaine!... (he looks at Oz) he's out cold. (She looks inside) He said Spike was inside.
Cut to Jerec looking at Spike. Jerec does the same thing and he hits Spike with the fireball. Spike's body does the same as Blaine's did.
Cut to outside where Spike comes flying out with the gun still in his hand. He hits the ground close to Xander and the gun falls out of his hands. He's out cold as well.
Xander looks at Spike.
Xander: He's not inside anymore.
Cut to Buffy. She looks at Oz.
Buffy: Oz..Help me get him into the van. Grab his feet.
They both pick him up and start moving him quickly to the van. Buffy looks right at Xander standing with Willow and Cordy.
Buffy: Well dont' just stand there. Get Spike into the van.
Xander: He's a vampire...you do know that right.
Buffy looks at Xander all pissed off. But then they hear vampires and see them coming out of the store window. Xander looks scared and tries to think of something then turns to see Blaine's gun on the ground. Xander picks it up. Cordy and willow are dragging Spike to the van.
Xander: (looks at the gun) Now if I remember this correctly. (he turns up the power)
Xander looks all serious and points the gun at the front of the store. He fires and there is a big explosion and two vampires go flying. A huge fire barracades the store.
Xander then go to Willow and Cordy. He grabs a hold of Spike and put him in the back of the Van.
Xander turns to Buffy and Oz.
Xander: C'mon let's go!
Buffy and Oz then reach the back of the Van carrying Blaine's unconscious body. They put him in the back next to Spike. Cordy, Willow and Xander jump into the van. Buffy closes the doors and Oz runs to the drivers side. Buffy starts to run the the passengers side and then looks at the store.
Cut to three figures who are behind the fire but are still visible. She sees Angel, Dru and realizes that the third is Jerec. All she does is stare at Jerec and sees his black eyes. Jerec can't help but smirk. She gets in the van and they take off.
Cut to the Giles walking in his house. A figure comes in through the door and Giles still doesn't see the person. It's Ethan.
Ethan: Hello Ripper. I'm surprised that you want to see me. I'm forgiven?
Giles walks right to him and grabs his shirt.
Giles: (angry) I will never forgive you for what you have done to Buffy.
Giles slams Ethan into the wall.
Giles: I want you to tell me how I can take a warlocks powers away from him.
Ethan: And just why would you want to do that?
Giles: Because the world will end if I don't find a way to do it. Everyone will die...maybe you...maybe even me. But we can stop it. (he lets Ethan go and Ethan adjusts his shirt)
Ethan takes a deep breath and starts to walk out the door. He stops.
Ethan: Alright I'll see what I can find out. Just like old times. Eh Ripper. I'll look tonight and be here tomorrow. Merry Christmas.
Ethan walks out the door.
Cut to the hospital. Blaine is in a hospital bed still unconscious. Buffy is staying right beside him. Willow and Oz come into the room.
Buffy: (turns to Willow) Where's Spike?
Willow: He woke up and took off. Didn't even say thanks.
Buffy: Typical.
Oz looks at Blaine.
Oz: How is he? Will he be alright?
Buffy looks at Blaine.
Buffy: Not broken bones or any internal damage. But he has a bad concussion. (turns to Willow) Something like you had.
Willow: Oh.
Buffy: I just hopes that he heals fast like me. Were going to need him in order to fight Jerec in the final showdown on Christmas Eve.
Oz: Do you want some Coffee?
Buffy: Yeah sure.
Willow: We'll leave you alone. (she goes over to Blaine and grabs his hand) Hope you feel better.
Willow and Oz leave.
Buffy sits right beside Blaine on his bed. She rubs his arm.
Buffy: Remember the first time I saw you...(cut to Blaine)...You fell right out of thin air. (she starts to chuckle) You're my guardian angel, Blaine. I mean when you get better we can stop Jerec and start taking turns on patrol every night. (she starts to cry) C'mon Blaine...wake up. I need you....I love you Blaine...from the moment I saw you. (Blaine then starts to talk but he is still uncounscious)
Blaine: I.....have always........loved you.....Buffy....I always.....wanted to.....be with....you.
Buffy then kisses him on the lips and Blaine wakes up. Blaine starts to kiss her back. He put his hand behind her head. They stop and he touches her lips. They start to kiss passionately again. Xander then comes into the room and then turns around walking right back out.
Cut to Xander walking down the halls with a tear in his eye. He passes Cordy on the way who has a coffee in her hands. She looks at Xander.
Cordy: What's wrong?
Xander wipes the tear from his eye.
Xander: Nothing. Who's the coffee for?
Cordy: Buffy asked for it.
Xander: Oh OK. I'll be just down the hall.
Xander gives Cordy a kiss on the forehead and she continues towards Blaine's room.
Cut to Blaine and Buffy. They stop kissing.
Blaine: Do you know how long I waited for this moment?
Buffy: I know...I have been waiting too.
Blaine and Buffy start to kiss again. Blaine then stops.
Blaine: Where's Spike? Is he alright?
Buffy: He's fine and took off.
Blaine: Figures. (to Buffy) I'm sorry I should not have gone myself. But...
Cut to Cordy just in front of the door she hears the conversation and then stops.
Blaine: We have to stop Jerec or else billions will die...including your friends Oz, Corelia, Giles and your mom. I felt that I had to tell you.
Buffy's face jolts up and she starts to back up.
Cut to Cordelia outside the room she drop the coffee and starts running and crying down the hall. Buffy hears this and leaves the room upset at Blaine.
Cut to Blaine. He feels really bad. He thought he was just telling Buffy but Cordelia overheard. He gest up and starts to get dressed.
Cut to Cordelia running by Xander, Oz and Willow sitting on a couch. They all react to her running by. Xander gets up.
Xander: CORDY!
He starts to run after her. She keeps running. Oz and Willow get up and they start to run too. Xander catches up to her and grabs her. He hugs her while she's crying.
Xander: What is it, Hun?
Cordy is still crying.
Cordy: I'm going to die on Christmas morning....I don't want to die Xander. (she keeps crying)
Xander: Whoa! Who told you that you were going to die?
Willow and Oz finally catch up to her.
Cordy: Blaine...told Buffy....that Oz, Giles, her mother and I will all die on Christmas morning.
Xander clinches her harder.
Xander: You're not going to die. Evertything will work out fine.
Oz feels his chest and he drops to the floor.
Willow: Oz?
Oz: I don't know what's worse. Knowing that your going to die one day or actually knowing that day.
Willow begins to cry and hugs Oz. Oz hugs her back and he begins to shed a tear.
Buffy runs to them.
Buffy: I'm sorry you overheard that Cordy.
Cordy turns to her and slaps her in the face. Cordy gets all angry and Xander has to hold her back. She is kicking her legs trying to get another shot at Buffy.
Cordy: No! You're not! Because you're not the one who's going to die in two days.
Buffy gets all upset. Xander looks very angry at Buffy
Xander: Nice boyfriend you have there Buffy.
Buffy starts to cry and runs down the hall. Xander doesn't chase her and just stays with Cordy who's still crying.
Buffy runs outside and sees Joyce pulls up in her Jeep. She gets out of the car and starts to walk towards the hospital
Buffy: Mom?
Buffy runs over to her mom.
Joyce: Buffy?
Buffy gives her mom and big hug. Joyce is even surprised.
Joyce: I'm so sorry for the past four months. I'll change.
Buffy: You're still my mother. You'll always will be.
They look at each other.
Buffy: Mom? Why are you here?
Joyce: I'm...going to check into Rehab for my alcoholism. I'm an alcoholic and I need help.
Buffy gives her mom and big hug.
Buffy: I love you, Mom.
Joyce: I love you too Sweetheart.
They both walk into the hospital together. Cut to the Rehab center. Buffy looks at her Mom.
Buffy: Mom? What made you decide to seek help?
Joyce looks at Buffy.
Joyce: Your friend did. The tall one with the brown hair and blue eyes. He was with you last night at the house. He told me that I was strong. He said that his parents made a big mistake and his older brother moved to L.A. He never got to see him. I don't want the same thing to happen to us.
Buffy: It won't. I promise.
A nurse approaches them.
Nurse: Mrs. Summers. It's time to go.
Joyce gives a Buffy a hug.
Joyce: I'll see you in three weeks. Take the car to Dad's house and spend Christmas there. Your presents are underneath the tree.
Buffy: Tree?
Joyce begins to walk off with the nurse.
Cut to Blaine walking towards Buffy. Buffy turns to look at him then turns back to her mother.
Buffy: I'll never see her again. Will I?
Blaine: Only if we fail, and we won't!
Buffy turns to Blaine and gives him a kiss on the lips.
Blaine: Thanks for what you said to my Mom. What happened with your brother anyways?
Blaine reaches in his side pocket of the picture of his parents and his brother. Buffy raises her eyebrows.
Blaine: He was 17 when he left for L.A. His name is...
Buffy: (interrupts) Pike!
Blaine: How did you know?
Buffy: Uh..I kinda use to date him.
Blaine looks surprised.
Blaine: Whoa now I feel really weird.
Buffy: I still know his number. If he's in the shop still he'll be here in three hours. That's if he wants to come. We sort of had a bad falling out.
Blaine: What happened?
Buffy turns to him.
Buffy: Long story. I'll go call him. Go round up the others. We need a plan.
Giles comes from around the corner.
Giles: I think I have got one.
Cut to the Xander, Cordy, Oz and Willow all sitting down. They look like they are spending the time they have left with each other. Blaine approaches them with Giles right beside him. Xander gets up and takes a swing at Blaine. Blaine easily blocks it. Xander tries again but Blaine flips him over his shoulder and starts to choke him.
Blaine: Calm down. We can stop Jerec but we need right now is for you to calm down and let's get a plan together.
Blaine lets Xander go and he helps him up. Blaine then looks at everyone.
Blaine: I'm sorry. Listen, we can stop Jerec. But we need to do it together and all of us will have to be willing to sacrafice themselves to help save the world. Now are you with me?
Cordy: What do I have to lose.
Oz: Yeah me too.
Willow: I'll help.
Xander: I'm in.
Giles: I have met up with well my contact and he says that he'll find a way to take Jerecs powers away from him.
Blaine looks at Giles
Blaine: Can you do that?
Giles looks at Blaine
Giles: Well black magic works in weird ways but whatever spell you can conjure up...you can take it away as well.
Blaine: Of course. If he has no powers he'll be at his weakest.
Giles: Exactly.
Blaine: When can we do it?
Giles: Well...I will have to find the right spell first.
Blaine: There's just one more problem. Now they have probably left and found a different hiding spot. (he crouchs down and puts his hands over his face) Oh No. What have I done? We have no idea where they could be....(he clues in) wait a minute...Angelus loves to find a place that is dear to the people he hates the most. Where would that be?
Cordy: The only place is dear to me is the mall.
Oz: What about the Bronze?
Xander points to Oz.
Xander: Yeah. That must be where their going to launch.
Giles: We don't know that for sure. We need to know, we can't just guess in a situation like this.
Blaine: Spike would know.
Blaine starts to run out of the hospital.
Xander: do you know here he is!?
Blaine: I think so!
Cut to Buffy talking on the phone. We hear the phone ringing.
Cut to man under the car. He hears the phone and slides out form underneath it. He gets up and picks up the phone.
Pike: Pike's Auto shop. This is Pike speaking.
Cut Buffy. Buffy hesitates and motions to hang up the phone. But she doesn't.
Buffy: Pike?
Cut to Pike.
Pike: Yeah, who's this?
Cut to Buffy.
Buffy: It's me, Pike. It's Buffy.
Cut to Pike. He raises his eyebrows.
Pike: Buffy! I have to say I'm stunned.
Cut to Buffy.
Buffy: Yeah. It has been awhile.
Cut to Pike.
Pike: 2 and a half years to be exact. What made you call after this long after totally ditching me and heading to Sunnydale.
Cut to Buffy.
Buffy: Pike? you didn't always live in L.A. did you?
Pike: no I use to live in Toronto, Canada. It got to cold up there during the winter and too hot and humid in the summer. why do you ask?
Buffy: Was the reason why you left is because your parents couldn't stop fighting with you and you left.
Cut to Pike who is very surprised.
Pike: Yeah. How did you know?
Cut to Buffy
Buffy: Did you have a little brother?
Pike: My mom was pregnant at the time. Yes but I never knew. Buffy why are you asking me this?
Buffy: Pike. How long will it take you to get to Sunnydale?
Pike: Two hours maybe three. Why?
Buffy: Just come and I'll meet you at Sunnydale High School. It's on the main street you can't miss it.
Pike: Alright. I'll be there soon. Bye.
Buffy: Bye.
Cut to Blaine looking around for Spike. He looks in an allyway and starts to walk down it. Spike then jumps at him from behind a box sporting his game face. Blaine jumps back.
Blaine: Must you always do that! What were you doing back there?
Spike: Getting a bite to eat (he changes back to human form)
Blaine looks at him.
Blaine: Getting a .... (he walks over to where Spike was and sees to a dead girl with teeth marks in her neck) Geez, Spike. (He pulls out his gun and shots her) If it was anyone else.
Spike: to what do I owe this visit.
Blaine: where do you think Jerec is going to launch the weapons.
Spike: I don't know. But I have an idea on how to find out.
Blaine: What's that?
Cut to Spike and Blaine on top of a roof holding one of Angel's boys by the feet over a building.
Blaine: Alright talk! Where is Jerec launching the weapons?
Vampire: Screw off!
Blaine looks at Spike and shakes his head. They both help them up. Spike gets a hold of him.
Spike: Blaine. It'll be sunrise soon. Let's get him inside.
Spike and Blaine lift him up and carrying him off to Spike's hideout.
Blaine: I'll be back just before sunset. Keep and eye on this guy we need him to tell us where Jerec will unleash the weapons.
Spike nods. Then he starts to walk off with the vampire.
Spike: (to the vampire) Do you like to watch the tele?
The vampire nods yes.
Spike: Well that's too bad because you will never see it again.
Cut to Buffy sleeping on a table in the library. A hand touches her shoulder and she wakes up. She looks up and sees Pike.
Buffy: Pike!
She gives him a hug.
Pike: Hey Buff. It's been awhile. Hasn't it?
Buffy: Pike. It has. I've missed you.
Pike: Hey it not like it was all your fault for getting kicked out of Hemery. I started the fire with you remember? And then you took off.
Buffy: I'm sorry. you're never gonna let me live that down are you?
Pike: So you still fighting vampires?
Buffy looks at him with the "you've got to be kidding me, you have no idea all the shit I've been through look"
Pike: I'll take that as a yes. So why did you call and get all weird with me?
Cut to Blaine walking into the library.
Blaine: I was just with Spike and I think I might have a .... (he sees Pike turn around) lead. Pike?
Pike looks all confused.
Pike: Yeah and who are you?
Blaine: I'm.......uh.....I'm......
Buffy looks right at Blaine.
Pike looks right at Blaine and gets really confused.
Pike: What?
Blaine approaches him and shows him the picture.
Blaine: That's my Father, that's my mother and that is you.
Pike takes the picture.
Pike: where did you get this?
Blaine: From the mantel over the fireplace. (he takes out another picture) Here's me with Mom and Dad. This was taken 2 years after you've left.
Pike: But you can't be the one who was pregnant with with my Mom. You're at least 20 now.
Blaine: I know this is hard to swallow but I'm from the future. I'm here to stop the end of the world in two days.
Pike: Christmas. Really? (he turns to Buffy) I've had enough. Not a funny joke, Buff.
Pike starts to walk out. Blaine grabs him and pulls him to the mirror. They stand side by side in the mirror.
Blaine: Look at us. Our eyes and facial features are the same. We're even the same height and build. Dammit. Mom and Dad are all the family we've have. They had no brothers or sisters and our grandparents died way before I was even born. Right now I'm the only family you've got and you're the only family I've ever had.
Pike looks at him and gives him a hug. Blaine starts to wimper and so does Pike.
Buffy looks at them all there and feels really good about what she has done for a change. Giles then walks into the room.
Giles: Buffy! I have found a way to take Jerec's... (he looks over to Blaine and Pike) Who is that hugging Blaine?
Buffy: That's Pike. My ex-boyfriend and Blaine's older brothher. It's a little family reunion here.
Giles: Oh...Any ways I have found the way to take Jerec's powers away from him.
Blaine and Pike stop. Blaine looks over to Giles.
Blaine: Any luck.
Giles: As amatter of fact. Yes! You?
Blaine: I think so..but it will take time.
Buffy: It time to get the gang together and plan this attack out.
Pike: Attack? On who? Whose this? (he points to Giles)
Buffy: Pike. This is Giles, my watcher.
Pike: Oh right. Since Merrick is gone. (he shakes Giles hand) did you know him?
Giles: Only by reputation. Buffy we should get to work.
Buffy: I'll call the guys. (she walks towards the phone)
Giles: (to Pike) So you use to date Buffy. Right?
Blaine snaps his head at Pike.
Cut to the gang at sunset in the library. the plan out their attack. Buffy takes them through it.
Buffy: Alright here's how it goes. Wherever they are this is what we'll do...
Blaine: Hang on a sec I have to make a phone call. (he runs to the phone)
Buffy: As I was saying. Blaine and I will be the first wave. We'll distract Jerec, Angel and the others until Giles can perform the spell. (to Xander) Xander. You, Pike and Oz will cover Willow in defusing the rockets. Don't worry about Pike, we have fought vampires together before. (to Cordy) I want you to stick by Giles and watch his back. The time too be brave is now.
Cut to Blaine on the phone.
Blaine: Are you sure?.......Alright be there.....you'll know when we'll be there.....Eat fast and hurry up we'll need your help. Bye.
Blaine hangs up the phone and runs to the gang.
Blaine: They plan to do it at the Bronze. Oz was right. Let's move!
Buffy: To the Oz Mobile!
Pike: I be right behind you on my bike.
they leave.
Cut the gang all getting into Oz's Van. They all get in and take off.
Buffy: Oz! You know the drill.
Oz: You got it!
Oz slams on the pedal and takes off. Pike jumps on his bike, kick starts it and takes off behind and follows Oz.
Cut to the Bronze. The band Our Lady Peace is playing the song Clumsy. The camera pans to see the band playing.
Lyrics: I'll be waving my hand/ watching you drown...Watching you scream...no one's around.
Camera pans to the crowd.
Lyrics: and maybe you should scream, and maybe you just need...a friend as Clumsy as you've been, there's no one laughing...you will be safe will be safe with him...
Cut to Jerec slamming the doors to the Bronze wide open, sporting his game face. Angelus and Dru follow while at least ten vampires start to spread out throughout the room. The band stops and the people in the room start to scatter. Jerec begins to laugh. Cut to the roof where two vamps wheel in the weapons on the top of the roof and they start to set them up. He places the control panel on the pool table and raises his arms.
Jerec: Tonight! Dinner's on me! (the people start to run and scatter)
The vampires start to run after the people. We see that some are feeding on some people.
Cut to the Van pulling up to the Bronze. They all get out. Blaine pulls out his gun and throws it to Xander.
Blaine: Alright. Jerec's in there. The world and your lives depend on what you do now. Now is the time to fight for the lives of everyone you care about. (to Xander) Will you do the honours, please?
Xander: Gladly!
Xander smiles at Blaine, sets the gun to full and fires it at the door.
Cut to the inside where two vamps, who were protecting the door were blown ten feet into the air. Buffy and Blaine jump into the door at the Bronze. Jerec starts to growl at Blaine and Buffy. The people are still trying to get out but can't due to all of the vampires at the doors.
Buffy: I hate being the party crasher but in this case...I'll make an exception.
Blaine rushes in and gives a huge right hook to the first vamp he sees. The vamp goes flying. Buffy and Blaine start to fight all of the vampires. Jerec reacts quickly and presses the button to launch all of the weapons heading for different continents. Cut to the weapons. They all set off a huge blast and they take off from the top of the roof. Blaine looks up.
Blaine: (yells to Buffy) Buffy! He's already unleashed the weapons!
Xander and Oz come running into the room hitting every vampire in sight making sure than Willow can get to the controls. Blaine realizes that Jerec is near the control, he runs over and tackles him. Angelus tries to help Jerec but Buffy grabs him and throws him five feet in the opposite direction. Buffy starts to fight Angelus. They start to exchange punches and kicks. Willow gets over to the controls and she starts to figure out the de-activation code. Dru takes a look and sees that all the vampires are fighting Blaine and Buffy but the real damage is being done by Willow. Xander starts to shoot at the vampires, he hits one of them and the vamp turns to dust. Willow is still at the controls, dismantling the weapons. Dru starts to approach Willow. She sees Xander and cracks him in the face with a back fist to the face. Xander falls to the ground. Some people get out but many fall victim to the vampires.
Cut to outside where Pike is setting up his bike. He looks at the window to the Bronze. He turns his head and gets a clear angle at the window. He turns his wrists and fires on the gas. Cut to the inside where Dru knocks Oz out of the way. Oz hits the ground. Dru grabs Willow by the throat.
Dru: You will be a pretty addition to us...
Dru motions to bite her neck and then Pike comes flying through the window on his bike right at Dru. He clears everyone out of the way and lands but he falls off the bike and it keeps going, hitting Dru right in her legs. Knocking her backwards to the back of the pool table. Pike gets up and takes off his helmet. Oz gets up and sees that Dru is out cold under the bike. He sees a vamp beside him and he slams his helmet into the vamps head. Xander gets up.
Xander: Nice shot. (to Pike) So you use to know Buffy huh?
Pike hits a vampire again with his helmet and throws it at another.
Pike: Now is not the time!
Xander and Pike start to fight vampires. Pike grabs a pool cue and breaks it in half. He stakes one of the vampires and throws the other to Xander. Xander catchs it and stakes the vamp that he was fighting.
Cut to Buffy and Blaine. Buffy looks right Angelus and Blaine looks right at Jerec.
Blaine: (to Jerec) This is where your legend ends!
Cut to Buffy. Buffy looks at Angelus.
Buffy: Sorry Angel...but it's over.
Angel and Buffy run at each other and they begin to fight. Buffy gives Angel a right hook to the face and then a kick to the stomach. But Angel then counters with a back fist to the face and a kick to the ribs.
Cut Jerec and Blaine. Blaine pulls out his kitana blade from behind his back. He sees a vamp right in front of him, takes a huge swing and chops his head off. The vamp turns to dust. He then sees two more right in front of him. Blaine swings at one vamps and cuts him right across his chest. He then ducks a punch from another and from his knees. He takes takes a huge swing and cuts both legs from under him. The vamp falls and Blaine looks at him, he smirks. He keeps slicing threw Vampires to get to Jerec. Jerec smiles.
Jerec: Do you really think that you can defeat me?
Jerec is on the stage, his eyes start to turn red and that means that he might hit Blaine with black fireball again. Blaine smiles and then Giles comes from behind Blaine chanting some spell. Cordy has an aluminum baseball bat and is swinging it at vampires. She makes contact with two vampires. One she clocks in the face, the other in the back. They both drop down to the ground. Cordy keep beating them with the bat taking turns hitting each one at a time. Giles with a book in his hand starts to chant.
Giles: Myyyyrad aannnnthe thhey litthhh beeesimaaa nomath Scatchdales.
Translation: Take the powers of dark away from this vessel and channel it to the book of Scatchdales.
Giles then throws some sort of black powder onto Jerec. Jerec starts to scream as we see a dark light being removed from his body and into the book that Giles was holding. The dark powers are removed from his body. Blaine gets right to his face.
Blaine: Too bad...too sad!
Blaine swings at with his sword. Jerec ducks and grabs a metal pole from the ground that was left from the band. They start to have a fight and then Blaine takes a swing and it gets stuck into a wooden pole. He can't remove it. Jerec then hits Bline in the back with the metal pole. He then hits Blaine in the face with it and blood comes out of Blaine's jaw.
Cut to Willow plugging at the computer. She manages to de-activate the missiles and they land into the ocean.
Willow: I did it!!!! I did it!!!!
Willo and Oz turn around. Oz is right up to a vamps face, the vamps growls at him. But Oz shows a different side of him. Oz turns around and starts to growl loud at the vampire, Oz's eyes start to turn bright green. The vampires runs away and Oz's eye's go back to normal. Willow looks at him all confused.
Oz: Don't ask! Just run!
Oz and Willow run out the door. Xander is shooting vamps at the door. He looks at Giles.
Xander: Giles! (Giles looks to Xander) Let's get out of here!
Giles runs right behind Oz and Willow.
Cut to Buffy who is fighting Angel. Angel swings at her with his right and Buffy ducks. Buffy then spin kicks Angel in the head. She starts to beat up on him bad. Left jab, right straight, a left hook to the body and then a full right hook to the face. The same thing that Blaine did to Angel and Angel fell victim to it again. But then the finsher and front kick to the head. The momentum causes Angel to do a backflip and he lands on the ground. She was too much for Angel. She looks over to Blaine who is losing taking a beating from Jerec.
Cut to Jerec is punching him in the face and kicking him. Blaine falls to the ground and he's aiding his side.
Cut to Buffy. She is watching the fight between Blaine and Jerec. Angelus sees her being distracted and he runs over to Dru. He picks her up and runs out of the Bronze. Buffy then sees that Pike is still staking vampires. She looks at Pike then to Blaine. She runs over to help Pike.
Cut to Blaine. He is taking a serious amount of punches to the face from Jerec. Blaine is really hurting and he has bad cuts on his face.
Jerec: You ruined my surprise! You'll pay dearly for this.
Jerec picks up Blaine and begins to choke him. Blaine then manages to knock Jerecs hands out of the way. Blaine starts to give Jerec a series of kicks to the face and a huge spin kick to the head. It knocks Jerec right onto the groud. Jerec begins to laugh.
Blaine: What are you laughing at?
Jerec gets to his knees and looks over to a case. It is the weapon that is for Sunnydale and North America. Blaine looks at the weapon and grabs Jerec. He pulls Jerec to the weapon.
Blaine: Disarm it!
Jerec doesn't move.
Blaine: Disarm it. NOW!
Blaine throws Jerec away from the weapon. He looks over to Buffy and Pike fighting the vampires. Pike holds the vamps arms while Buffy stakes him. Blaine looks to about twenty people who are surrounded by vampires.
Blaine: (yells to Buffy) Get the people out of here!
Buffy stakes a vamp.
Buffy: (yells back) What about you?
Blaine: I'll be fine just get out of here. There is still one more rocket left and it's ready to blow.
Pike looks at Buffy.
Pike: Buffy! You heard what he said let's go.
Cut to Jerec. He pulls out Blaine's sword from the wooden pole.
Cut to Buffy looking at Blaine. She sees Jerec sneaking behind Blaine.
Buffy: (she scrams) BLAINE! LOOK OUT!
Blaine turns around and Jerec swings the sword right at Blaine cutting him deep in his left side. Blaine drops to the ground and feels his cut. The cut is very deep. Blaine sees the blood on his hands and looks right at Buffy. Jerec just looks down at Blaine laughing.
Blaine: (yells at Buffy) GET OUT OF HERE!
Buffy: NOT WITHOUT YOU!
Blaine: I'LL BE ALRIGHT JUST GO!
Pike grabs Buffy. They run for the door and Buffy stakes the last vampire.
Cut to Jerec looking at Blaine who is bleeding bad at his side.
Jerec: Ew! That looks bad! Don't worry I'll make it feel much better.
Jerec raises the blade but Blaine gets up and knocks the blade from Jerec's hands. Blaine then gives Jerec a side kick to the face, then a left punch then grabs his shirt and repeatedly punches him in the face.
Cut to the weapons counting down to one minute. Jerec gets in his game face, looks at the weapon and begins to laugh. Blaine punches Jerec right in the face. Jerec falls right beside the weapon. Blaine grabs him and lifts him up. Jerec tries to punch Blaine but Blaine blocks his arm and grabs onto it. He is face to face with Jerec. Jerec sees that he can bite Blaine at this time.
Jerec: Remember this day Blaine. For it will be your last.
Jerec tries to bit Blaine.
Cut to Blaine grabbing a plasma granade from his pocket. He snaps off the pin with his thumb. Looks at Jerec.
Blaine: Wrong! It'll be yours! AND I'LL STILL LIVE!
Blaine stuffs the plasma grenade into Jerec's mouth. Blaine then winds up and hits Jerec in the face with a huge right punch. Jerec falls to the ground and Blaine tries to run off.
Cut to the bomb counting down to two seconds.
Cut to Jerec with his eyes wide open.
Cut to everyone looking on the outside. Buffy looks on.
Buffy: C'mon Blaine!
Just as she says there is a huge explosion in the Bronze. Fire comes out of all of the windows as well as wood and steel. The gang ducks out of the way. Just after everything clears, they all look back. Buffy starts to run to the Bronze but Xander grabs her. She starts to cry and scream.
Buffy: BLAINE! (she starts to get closer but Xander holds her back) BLAINE!!! (she screams, falls and starts to cry).
Cut to the inside where Jerec is nowhere to be found. The weapon is destroyed and everything is on fire but the big piece of wood that is on top of Blaine, who is unconscious. Then someone throws the piece of wood off Blaine.
Cut to the outside where they are all in morning. Buffy falls to her knees crying.
Buffy: No! No! (Pike grabs her) No! Blaine!!!!!!!!!!
Oz looks at the burning Bronze and sees a silouette running out the doorway.
Oz: Look!
It's Spike carrying Blaine over his shoulder. He runs over to Buffy and the gang besides Oz's truck.
Spike: He's hurt really bad. Get him back to the hospital.
Buffy looks amazed at Spike for what he has done.
Spike: Time's wasting. Let's go.
Spike opens the van doors. He puts Blaine in and crouchs right beside him. They rest of the gang jumps and they rush to the hospital.
Spike: (yells at Oz) Bloody move! He doesn't have much time left.
Spike looks right at Buffy who is right beside Blaine and Spike looks down at Blaine.
Cut to the hospital. Buffy, Pike, Oz, Cordy, Xander, Willow and Giles are all sitting in the waiting room. A doctor comes out. Buffy gets up. The doctor looks around.
Doctor: Who's Buffy?
Buffy: I am.
Doctor: Blaine tells me you're his legal guardian.
Buffy: That's right.
The doctor pulls aside Buffy to make sure the rest of the gang can't hear him.
Doctor: (whispers to Buffy) Blaine has a bad laceration in his side, it has sliced his liver and it has caused some massive internal bleeding...
Buffy: Wait...what do you mean?
The doctor looks right at Buffy.
Doctor: There's nothing we can do. We can't stop the bleeding.
Buffy grabs the doctor by his jacket.
Buffy: (angry) What do you mean you can't stop the bleeding!?
Doctor: We can't help him. He will die in the next ten minutes. It'll be best if you stay with him.
Buffy lets go of the doctor.
Doctor: I'm sorry.
The doctor walks away. Buffy look at everyone who now knows that Blaine is going to die. They all look sad at Buffy. Pike even begins to cry.
Cut to Blaine looking in rough shape.
Buffy looks at Pike.
Buffy: Pike. Come with me! (she looks to the gang) Guys, I'll need some time.
Xander: We're here if you need us.
Pike looks at Buffy and they walk into Blaine's room. Blaine is in rough shape. He has two huge bruises on his eyes and a big bandage over his side. There is an IV in his arm and a heart meter beeping. Blaine looks right at Buffy and smiles.
Blaine: Did we do it? Did we stop the weapons?
Pike grabs Blaine's hand.
Pike: We did little bro. You'll be up in no time.
Blaine laughs then grabs his side cause it hurts so much.
Blaine: I want you to do something for me. (he starts to cough) Go see Mom and Dad. It'll be a nice Christmas present for them. To see there oldest son, that they haven't seen in years. Please (he coughs again) do that for me.
Pike: I will leave a soon as you're ready.
Pike hugs him and he looks at Buffy.
Pike: I'll be outside. I'll leave you guys to talk.
Pike leaves. Blaine then looks right at Buffy.
Blaine: (smiles) Hey...you...come here.
Blaine places his hand on the side of his bed. Buffy sits right beside him and places her hand on his head.
Buffy: Oh Blaine...You'll be...just...fine by tomorrow. (she smiles at him)
Blaine: I know I'm dying Buffy. (Blaine starts to cry)
Buffy pulls him tight and kisses him on the forehead.
Blaine: Buffy....I've....always loved you and will always love you. From the first day I saw you...I believe that there are certain people in life who are connected as one..and you are my other Buffy. I love the way you look at me, your touch....I wish I could make things easier for you....I owe you my life.....and my love..I...I...want you to have this....(it's a bracelet saying Blaine Hawkins on it) My....parents gave me this....it's my birth bracelet.....it may not....fit.....but...(he looks right at Buffy and tounches her chhek. She feels his hand against her cheek) ...I...I....
Buffy: Shh....rest. I have always loved you since the moment I saw you. I knew that I loved you with all my heart and soul. I always will. I will love you till the day I die. You'll be OK, you here me. You'll go to Sunnydale High with me...we'll take classes together....we'll...scare the hell out of Snyder again...(she tries to laugh but starts to cry while Blaine is starting to leave her) Blaine! You can't leave me....I won't let you go. Ever!
Blaine is not responding to her voice. Blaine's heart meter starts to flatline. Buffy tries to wake him up.
Buffy: Blaine...I can't be without you. I need you. you have made me feel like...no one else has.....Don't leave me. Not like this.....No No! (she starts to pound on the bed) No No!
Xander comes into the room and starts to hug Buffy who is shaking her head crying.
Buffy: No! No! Not to him! No! Not him!
Xander starts to pull Buffy closer as Buffy still cries. He looks at Blaine's dead body and sheds a tear. He still cradles Buffy in support for her loss. Pike comes in, falls to his knees and cries. Willow and Oz come in and Cordy follows with Giles behind her. Buffy then takes a hold of Blaine's hand and grips it tight. She then let's go and Blaine's hand falls lifelessly towards the ground.
Cut to Spike at the doorway. He was checking up on Blaine and he sees Buffy pull the sheet over Blaine face. Spike takes a deep breath.
Spike: (whispers to himself) Farewell.....my friend.
Spike the turns around and walks down the hallway. But we see a different Spike it almost looks like he has a tear in his eye.
Cut to the next day where they all are standing over his grave. Cut to Buffy looking at Blaine's grave she places a handful of white flowers on his grave.
Buffy: Merry Christmas, Blaine. You have given the world the greatest gift of all.
They all look right at Blaine. The gang has realized that he sacraficed himself so that they might live. Pike places his arm around Buffy.
Pike: We have to go...
Buffy clears the tears from her eyes.
Buffy: (sniffs) OK.
They all leave. Pike has his arms around Buffy and the gang all walk together
Buffy: (inner monologue) It doesn't matter how we prepare for death....it comes to us all....it might come peacefully...it might come violently....but it will come...to some it might come sooner than others....to some it comes later than we want...
Cut to a place where there is snow on the ground and Pike walks up to a house. Buffy is right behind him. Music is playing in the background. It is a soft classical music.
Buffy: (inner monologue) Can we ever really prepare for it or how it will effect us? I wish we could. But we can't...I guess that's life.
Pike knocks on the door and his Mom answers. She looks amazed and gives him a big hug. His dad soon follows with a big hug.
Pike's Mom: Pike! I've missed you. Merry Christmas Sweetheart. Dale!!!
Pike: I've missed you too Mom.
Dale hugs Pike.
Dale: It good to see you son.
Cut to Blaine at the very young age of four, he walks from behind his parents.
Dale: Pike, We have a new addition to the family. Meet you younger brother..Blaine.
Pike crounchs down, looks at Blaine they give eachother a big hug.
Pike looks at Buffy.
Pike: Mom, Dad...I would like for you to meet Buffy.
Buffy shakes their hands. Buffy then looks at Blaine and crouches down to Blaine. Blaine looks at her and winks.
