Prologue (Revised)

In the magnificent castle of Roshtaria, a small lonesome figure sat crouching by the water fountain. The little girl dressed in a light blue dress touched the water with her fingers gently. A huge hand suddenly flashes out blocking our view of the redhead girl. "Ahem." The hand slowly closes into a fist as a tall man fakery cough into it. "Now that I've got your attention. Let me introduce myself. I am the magnificent, fabulous, genius, know-it-all Derek the narrator! I will be telling you about the life of the Royal Sorceress!" Lightning flashes as he laughs maniacally, his white hair blowing in the wind. "Anyway, the Princess Rheanne was a quiet and lonely girl. She hardly ever talked and there was a reason for that. Being the princess and heir to the throne of Roshtaria, she didn't have many genuine friends..." Derek trails off as he starts to flicker and then vanishing into thin air.

Rheanne sighed as she stood up slowly. She straightened out her dress, making sure that she looked presentable. "I can't believe it. It's my thirteenth birthday today and no one even said 'Happy Birthday' to me. Then again, that is not unusual. I don't have any friends to wish me a happy birthday. All the other kids either look at me in fear or in disgust. No one knows the real me. No one cares to find out since all they see is a princess. I'm a human being too!" She stares at the beautiful water statue darkly.

[Flashback]

Rheanne was wearing her princess outfit. She had wanted to change into more normal clothes but her mother had insisted. Grinding her teeth she grumbled. "I still don't understand why I have to wear this. Everyone already knows that I'm the only female heir to the kingdom without me having to wear the royal dress."

The tall elegant lady walking next to her frowned slightly. "Rhea, you are wearing this dress because this is a formal meeting with the other kingdoms. Their children will also be there in their respective outfits."

Rheanne groaned. "Fine I'll wear this stupid dress." She had an ugly frown on her face.

Queen Roshtaria sighed as she stopped rubbing her forehead. "Rhea, you know that it is unladylike to groan and grumble like that." Seeing that her daughter had stopped complaining the current ruler of Roshtaria resumed her walking.

As the two ladies of the royal family walked lightly down the hall to the main room they met many servants and soldiers who bowed respectfully. The Queen was a kind ruler and quite possibly the most beautiful lady in the entire kingdom. She had luscious red hair, obviously the person who had given the young princess her's, and crystal blue eyes. Her smile warmed many hearts in the kingdom, filling the person with love and kindness.

As the two neared their destination, the older red head leaned down and whispered for the younger girl to behave and enjoy herself. The small girl just nodded her head bored. The two male guards hurriedly opened the door and bowed to the royal ladies of Roshtaria.

Rheanne walked up to the refreshment stand when her mother had gone to chat with the queens of the other kingdoms. She wondered if she would be able to make any friends at this meeting. "Probably not," She mumbled a bit sad. Looking around she saw a bunch of nobles her age talking near the small water fountain that was located in the center of the room. With a look of indecision on her face she sipped the cup of juice in her hand. "Should I go talk to them or not?" After several long minutes she nodded. She walked at a moderate pace towards the other kids and struggled to keep the nervousness from her face. Speaking in an inaudible tone she said over and over again. "Be strong, be calm, be strong, be calm. Yeah that's the key." When she finally reached the group she was a bit worried on how to start a conversation with them, however her worries were all for nothing. That didn't mean that what happened next was good either.

One of the girls saw Rheanne and whispered to her friend. "Hey, there's the princess of Roshtaria." The blond girl beside her nodded her head. Their 'secretive' whispering had raised the curiosity of the other nobles and they all turned around to see what had cause the two girls to attempt to whisper in secrecy. They saw a cute redhead standing in front of them and instantly recognized her as Princess Rheanne. They snorted as they turned around to face their friends. A few bolder ones sneered at her.

"So the almighty Princess Rheanne is actually in our presence. My what an honor! Not! Go back to where you came from princess!" The black haired boy jeered at her.

Another female noble pepped up. "Yeah! So what if your parents are the rulers of the most powerful kingdom. You may be richer and stronger than us but that doesn't mean that you are any better!"

The female twins of the group tried to shush them, but it was all in vain for Rheanne had heard enough. "Quiet! Azuri, Rachel! It will not do for us to taunt Princess Rheanne." They were a year or two older than the rest of the nobles present and that meant that they knew when not to mess with the princess of the most powerful kingdom.

Rheanne's heart crashed as she heard all the cruel comments the other nobles said. However before she allowed her feelings to show on her face, she pasted on a mask of indifference. She 'humph' at them and brusquely said, "Excuse me but you are blocking my way." The nobles glared at her but reluctantly stepped aside when the older girls pleaded them to do as she said. Walking away she wiped away the single tear that had found its way down her cheek.

[Flashback]

She clenched her small fist tightly, determination clear in her voice. "I may be a princess, but I am not a useless royal brat! I'll show them." She nodded to herself, her green eyes shining brightly. "Yes, I will show them. I will show them that I am more than just a princess of the strongest kingdom. Someday I will leave this 'prison' and go out into the world."

Not far away from the redhead princess, a dark-haired lady stumbled onto the floor. She reached out to the wall weakly with her hand to brace herself. There is a dark red stain on her silk blouse. Coughing violently, she swears silently. Holding her wound, Asrail tried in vain to will the pain away. "Curse you Siika. I will surely make you pay for all of the evil things you've done...." She coughed once again, this time more violently. "If only I have not been wounded, then I know that I would be able to get you back. If only-" Asrail stopped as she remembered one spell that she had never planned to use. Slowly she smiled her blue eyes shining brightly. With a look of triumph Asrail had to stop herself from jumping up and down in joy. "Yes! I will have my revenge Siika! Now all I have to do is fuse my soul with the nearest human being and I shall have my vengeance in a few years." Getting up with a lot of difficulty Asrail looked around the wall. "That noble redhead over there should do..." With that the sorceress began her spell.
