Jimmy  is  still  with  a baby face, a
pair of crystal clear eyes, and long
eye lashes. Why does this person
who  is  nearing  the age of 30 not
seeming to grow up?  For this  ye-
ar,  experiencing  the  doubts over
him  about  his acting capabilities
for  TLBB,    and  experiencing  the
SARS outbreak which had affected
his racing schedule, Jimmy shou-
ld look more languish,  or at  least
with  some troubles written on his
face,   shouldn't  it?   He  laughed,
"No la, I'm already 30, many kinds
of  matters  can  already  be  seen
very  lightly.  About TLBB, I am very
pleased, and  the recent  comme-
nts and opinions are more satisfy-
ing.  The director has watched the
film now and felt that it's better  th-
an expected. Thus they had added
more money to design more com-
puter   effects   and   sound/music
effects.  But if you ask me whether
I'm able to surpass my past perfo-
rmance as Xiao Yuer, it's very diffi-
cult to answer this, because these
are 2 different concepts, I can only
say that I am very confident of  my-
self currently."
For now, putting half of his energ-
y  into  his  racing career and half
into his entertainment career,  Ji-
Jimmy's Wish At 30 Is To Act In An Idol Drama
mmy is really like an octopus. But
even  like  that,  he was still being
caught by the paparazzi when ha-ving meals with Ruby Lin.  I  (rep-
orter) asked, "Actually you always
disclose that you don't have a gir-
lfriend,  then to be your girlfriend,
wouldn't she feel unhappy to  ha-
ve to go through the feeling of be-
ing hidden up?" He laughed aga-
in,   "I  think towards the question
of disclosing to the public, I wou-
ld respect my other half.  Person-
ally,  I don't like my personal priv-
acy rights to be violated. Practica-
lly,  it's the truth that I don't have a
girlfriend.  Although  I had always
hoped  to  date  just  like  anyone,
sigh....it's also not exactly dating,
now  already  reaching this age, I
would  like  to  look  for a girl with
whom  I  can  plan my future with,
but right now is still early la, mar-
rying at 35 should be  no  proble-
m. To stress one point, Ruby Lin
and I are only good friends."
About racing, Jimmy said that pe-
riod drama is making him feeling
tired,  he  is  hoping  to be able to
film in an idol drama,  but  so  far,
no one has looked for him to film
one yet.

Filming Is Actually A Tough Job
The  impression  a celebrity gives to most people is it is a job of
fame and glamour. Especially when they are faced with the  tim-
es of non-stoppable flash lights and screams from their fans. But this is just how it looks from the surface, what I(reporter) wa-
nt to say is that actually, being an actor they also have their diffic-
ult times.   One cannot deny that actors are very highly paid,   but
how many people actually realise about their hardships for whe-
n they are involved in filming, they had to work continuously up to
more than 10 hours a day, and during every meals, they only eat
from packed food.
These 2 days,  the  movie  "Long Hu Ying Xiong"  directed by HK
director  Li  Zuo  Nan,  lead  acted  by  Jimmy  and HK's 'Da Sha'
Chen Kui An, is under filming process in Nan Shan. I went to  vi-
sit  the  filmset  for the 2 consecutive days. For the moment, let's
not discuss about the fame that celebrities get to enjoy. Observing them having to film under the very hot sun, perspiring
profusely, I can't help sighing: It's not easy being an actor too!

Time: 31st August 2pm
Venue: Nan Shan Tian Hou Gong
Scene 1
Exchanging blows under the hot sun
Initially, I thought that under such a terribly hot weather,  the cast
should be resting indoors, but as I walked into the filmset, I saw
a man and a lady exchanging blows under the hot outdoor sun.
The actor was even wearing a formal suit. The producer pointed
to him and said, "That's the lead actor, Jimmy Lin."
It's a very natural thing to redo a scene, and it's only just a few si-
mple action moves. But the phrase "One more time" from the di-
rector  don't  seem  to  stop  going into the ears. Sometimes, the
reasons  could  be that the angle captured by the cameraman is
not satisfying, sometimes Jimmy forgotten his moves. The sam-
e  move repeating 3 to 4 times, Jimmy could be seen perspiring
very profusely under such a hot sun. Within the director's phrase
'One more time',  he would always add 'sorry, don't mind' to take
Jimmy's  feelings  into  consideration.  But  Jimmy would always
reply with a smile, saying "No problem".
Exchanging blows with Jimmy was a girl, and watching her  mo-
ves,  one can easily tell that she has martial arts background as
her kicks were too high, and a few times, she almost kicked into
Jimmy's face.  She was so shock that she immediately asked if
she had accidentally injured him, but Jimmy wasn't offended.

Scene 2
Replaced with a stunt man for difficult moves.
As  it  is  an action movie, some 'air somersaults' types of action
would  be  too  difficult for Jimmy. At the scene, I noticed another
actor wearing the same costumes and close resemblance to Ji-
mmy and was told that he's actually Jimmy's replacement. Everytime whenever there's any difficult moves,  he  would act in
place of Jimmy.

Scene 3
Wiping perspiration in a rather unrefined way
After  the  director  shouted 'OK', everyone's expression became
relaxed.  This signifies that these scenes were passed. Getting
off from the filming scene, Jimmy's assistant passed him a  tis-
sue and he repeatedly dried his perspiration off his face. Maybe
because he was too hot,   he even unrefinedly pulled his T-shirt
up to wipe his perspirations.

Time : 1st Sept
Venue : Xi Li Badminton Stadium
Scene 4
Today,  a  boxing  ring is set up in the middle of the stadium and
the scene was '2003 International Free Boxing Competition  Ho-
ng Kong Round'. Outdoors, it was a high temperature of 34 deg-
rees celsius and indoors it was even higher, with the 200  back-
ground actors, the atmosphere was very crowded and lively.   To
create  a  more  realistic  atmosphere,  the director requested to
make  the  scene  more  foggy, but it wasn't dry ice to be in used
but instead burning smoke was used. As a result, the thick  sm-
oke caused everyone to choke with tears.

Scene 5
"Da Sha" Chen Kui An is once again the 'triad leader' in this mo-
vie. This time, his bad deeds was to control the boxing competi-
tion.

Scene 6
'Appearance' repeated for 5 times
During the competition, it was an exciting sight with the  appear-
ance  of  the  boxing  opponents.  But  it  may seem exhilrating to
watch,  it  was  actually very troublesome when acting.  That day,
the  director  requested  for  the  scene of  the appearance of the
first  competitor  to  be repeated 5 times. This made his 2 actors
making their appearances really tired.
The lead in  "Hu Long Ying Xiong" is a pair of long-lost brothers,
Wen Long (Jimmy) and Wen Hu (Yi Zi Wei).    After they grew up,
they both pursued the boxing career. Upon their participation for
the competition,    being very righteous,   both of them refused to
abide to the demands of the triad leader,   and were determined
not to be bribed by him.
The producer told me that this movie started work on  23rd  Aug-
ust,  and will finish within 13 days.  Such filming speed is rather
astonishing,  as everyone had to rush work,  thus the crew were
working hard rushing with the filming. For the filming in the bad-
minton  stadium  which  will  take  up  6 days, it's presumed that
everyday, everyone have to work up till 11pm.
