| A Swordsman In Reel Life, A Pro Racer In Real Life |
| In Jue Shi Shuang Jiao, Jimmy portrayed the role of a suave swordsman but he is still best in car racing. Two days ago, he sp- ecially applied for a short leave from his filming work, to return back to Taiwan to take part in this year's 4th Super Car Race, and had smoothly swept the champion throphy into his arms, achiev- ing the record for win- ning champions for four consecutive tim- es. Jimmy said excitedly, "Now, I have 7 throph- ies sitting at home, 5 champions, 1 first ru- nner-up and 1 second runner-up. This year, 30th of December, th- ere will be a Formosa Race held in Taiwan and 36 racers from all over Taiwan will be gathering for this ev- ent. I have arrange my schedule to prepare for this race." The day before this race, while he was pr- actising, he wasn't ca- reful and had a slight collision with a new racer, causing dama- ge to the front left side of his car. His team |
| members, with their united spirit, went th- rough the whole night to get it repaired, so that his car would be ready for the race the next day. When this accident was brought up, there seem to be a lingering fear in him though it has passed. He said, "When I was practising, in front of me was a newcomer. Maybe when he saw my car coming up to- wards him, he panic- ked and skidded to- wards the fencing at the side and collided into my car." Jimmy has showed his prowess in racing, but while he was fil- ming beside Vivi Ho for Jue Shi Shuang Jiao, he can be as gentle as a dove! Jimmy said that he is very satisfied with the script and role in J- SSJ. He is very happy especially to be able to work with Tae, Tian Xin, Li Xiao Lu, Vivi Ho. | story. As this is the second time they are working together, they were able to settle into the situation very quickly. In the scene where Vivi sacrificed her life to save Jimmy, both of them were so affected by the plot that they kept crying till their tears flowed non-stop, and this scene was taken only once with no NG required. When asked about it, Vivi replied that for this scene, this is something she has never experienced before. Jimmy also said smilingly th- at he and Vivi are super good friends and being able to film together, he is really delighted. | Jimmy Celebrated His Birthday In Hong Kong Press Conference |
| Yesterday, a press conference for a new Hong Kong Drama 'Qi Tian Da Sheng' was held in a hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui and many of its main cast attended it which include Dicky Cheung, Jimmy, Liang Han Wen, Yuki Hsu, Hsiao Chiang. The press conference was delayed about 1 hour as Jimmy was suppose to arrive in Hong Kong from China through the expressway but as it was closed, he had to take a different route and took a flight from Shanghai. As it was also Jimmy's 27th birthday, after the opening ceremony, a huge birthday cake was brought out and Jimmy happily celebrated his birthday with all the cast and media. Dicky Cheung even took lead in singing Jimmy a birthday song. Dicky's birthday gift for Jimmy is a cool black racing helmet and reminded Jimmy who loves racing, "Safety First". During the press conference, Dicky disclosed that he had recommended Jimmy for the role of Ne Zha to the producer but as Jimmy's fees was too high and would exceed the budget of the drama, the producer had wanted to find so- meone else but Dicky was determined about getting Jimmy as he felt that other than him, he can't think of anyone else suitable for this role and was even willing to cut his pay so as to lower the budget to be able to afford to invite Jimmy over. He felt that this sacrifice is worth it. Fortunately, GTV had bidded 1 billion dollars for the broadcasting rights of the show and the production is now able to invite Jimmy without cutting Dicky's pay. Dicky said, "Jimmy is the first Taiwanese friend I knew 7 years ago when I just started out in the Taiwanese market and was in the same company as Jimmy. At that time, Jimmy was already very famous but he was still willing to befriend me and we became good friends. We had worked together in singing and movies and I have always been hoping to be able to work with him again." As there ever was a rumour about Jimmy and Yuki being an item, thus they were the highlight of the media. Since Dicky had gave Jimmy a helmet, what about his rumoured girlfriend? "I didn't know that today is his birthday and didn't prepare anything for him. As he just rushed over from China and didn't bring much things, he borrowed a hair gel from me while at backstage so I offered to give it to him as a gift. (Aren't you both together?) What? What? We're just friends and I already have a boyfriend." When Jimmy was asked about whether he knew Yuki has a boyfriend, he said, "I don't know anything about it. For the past few years, I spent most of my time overseas filming. (Will you give her your reg- ards?) Of course. (Don't you feel dejected?) We are not even together so why would I feel dejected? I don't even know how this rumour arise." Although both of them clarified that the rumour wasn't true, when they were both asked to take a photo together, Yuki seemed very uneasy. In the end, if Jimmy hadn't pulled Dicky along to take the photo together with them, the situation would have turned very awkward. As it was a long time since he came to Hong Kong. He said, "I haven't met my Hong Kong fans for a long time. I'm very happy to be able to be here. Right now, my wish is to be able to portray the role of Ne Zha well." Jimmy also disclosed that his biggest wish is to find a girlfriend soon, think about marriage and clear his acting co- ntracts so that he can spend more time with his family. The qualities he looks for: As long as their personalities click, comfortable to look at and able to understand him and his busy life. After this event, Jimmy would meet up with Won Bin who is currently filming a movie in Hong Kong and after that, he would be heading back to China to continue his work, spending his bir- thday on the flight which is the first time he had done so. | For the sake of his new drama, "Jue Shi Shuang Jiao", his first on-screen kiss is gi- ven to Chinese actr- ess, Li Xiao Lu in a "lips to lips" kissing scene. Although it only last for 10 seconds, for this scene, prod- ucer, Xia Yu Shun;pro- ducer cum director, Lai Shui Qing and Ji- mmy had a thorough discussion, hoping to bring out appropriate but comical feel. It's obvious that everyone values Jimmy's 'first kiss'. Eversince Jimmy ente- red the entertainment scene, he has never shot a kissing scene, seems that he regar- ds his kiss as gold. | Secretly Went Racing While Filming, Jimmy Dare Not Announce About His Winnings |
| Few days ago, Jimmy w- on champion for the Gro- up A of the Renault Form- ula Race. This is his 9th throphy. Surprisingly, his manager, Xia Yu Shun a- nd his father still didn't know about it. Jimmy had kept them from the dark and while filming 'Jue Shi Shuang Jiao', he manag- ed to go racing and won champion. Jimmy had returned back to Heng Dian for work a- nd felt excited but quiet about his '7th champion'. He said, "Xia Papa don't know about it. My dad also wasn't too sure a- bout it. They don't like me racing but since I have agreed on this race, I have to fulfil it. This mo- nth, I've won twice but I dare not tell my family members about it." | Jimmy Injured His Nose While Filming |
| Yesterday, Jimmy who was filming in Heng Dian was injured while filming a fighting sce- ne. His nose was ba- dly cut by a bamboo pole and metal wiring, causing Jimmy to cry out in pain. Although director, Lai Shui Qing had wanted to get a stuntman to replace h- im, Jimmy was still pe- rsistent to complete it before going back to the hotel to rest his wound. At the scene of the incident, Yu Li and Li Xiao Lu were there wit- nessing it. Seeing the sudden incident, both of the shouted with horror and together wi- th Tae, they helped bri- ng Jimmy to the side to rest. As they were film- ing in the middle of a forest, they couldn't find a doctor and were at loss of what to do, but they still managed to help stop Jimmy's ble- eding. Though the cut wasn't long, it was qu- ite deep. When Jimmy was ask- ed to describe about the incident, "At that time, we were filming a fighting scene in a for- est. The pole hit exactly on my nose and my skin was cut by the metal wiring, causing it to bleed a lot and it was very painful." At first, the director wan- ted to send him to the hospital immediately but Jimmy persisted to conti- nue and just applied a skin-colour plastic band- age on his wound and some powder. He said, "Although injured and bleeding but I don't think it's that serious to go to the hospital. Since the bleeding can just be stop, it's not nice to hold up the whole filming process so I just tolerated with it and work as per normal until it ends before heading to the hospital for treatment." He said laughingly, "My nose is now red and swollen, very ugly, like a clown's nose." So as to prevent the wound and bandage from being ca- ught on film, the camera- man used 45 degrees angle and long distance shot. Everyone joked that Jimmy is a '45 degree Shuai Ge (handsome guy)'. | After airing Richie Ren on "Tong Xue Da Bu Tong", yesterday was "Little Whirlwind, Jimmy Lin's Class Gathering". Those invited were Jim- my's Hwa Gang Arts School classmates. Other than his classmates, even Jimmy's school prin- cipal was present. At that time, because of Jim- my, there was a great influx in the number of stu- dent hoping to study there, setting the record of opening 2 large classes in the following year. Before the recording of the show, Jimmy had re- quested with the producer not to disclose his s- chool results which he did very badly. As he had to juggle between work and school at that time, he wasn't able to focus on his studies. His clas- smates also added that Jimmy was very playful and likes to play pranks on others. Not only wou- ld he go to the hostel roof top and splash water down on his friends; when one of his classmate was training during a Chinese opera lesson and trying to stand on his hands, Jimmy tied his legs against the bar and he couldn't come down. He even secretly removed a motor part from his friend's motorbike and the engine wouldn't start. However, Jimmy also has embarrassing mom- ents. There was once when they were out of the school compound and it was after a rain so the ground was very slippery. A female classmate accidentally slipped and her elbow hit exactly at Jimmy's 'crucial' part. *Gosh* Jimmy kept saying he was ok but from the look of his flushing red face, it must surely be very painful. Normally, a student's good pals are their peers, but Jimmy's good friend is actually the school principal. The first thing his principal talked abo- ut was the act of Jimmy messing him up with the birthday cake, he said, "As they were very hi- gh during my birthday celebration, they started playing too madly." The principal said frankly that because of Jim- my's popularity, it was very convenient for the pr- omotion of the school and had helped the scho- ol to make quite a lot of money. Other than that, the school rules had disallowed students to ride motorbike to school, but as Jimmy, having to ru- sh for lessons, he still used it to go to school. And because of this, he was caught twice and was even put under probation. But the principal decided to remove his punishment and even re- moved this rule. As Jimmy started out in showbiz at a young age, everytime after lessons, he had to rush for other activities or variety programmes and album rec- ordings at night, ending up falling asleep during lessons in the day. The principal was worried that Jimmy wouldn't do well and unable to grad- uate, he even spare his time to give him person- al tuition. Hearing this, even the host said, "Doe- sn't it sounds like you own the school?" Before the show ends, the producer had specia- lly arranged for Jimmy and his classmates to perform the stunts in the Chinese opera play, seeing everyone displaying their well-trained ki- cks and splits, Jimmy added that he's really tou- ched to be able to have the opportunity to gather his old friends and bringing back happy memor- ies.
