| Do you believe in ghost? I dunno, I personally don't believe but sometimes, it's really hard not to believe. Here, Jimmy talks about his personal encounters with the 3rd world which I read from some articles and news. To believe it or not, it's your choice. When Jimmy was filming the MTV for Before Dawn Breaks, it took place in an antique shop during the 7th month (Ghost festival) season. It's the place where Jimmy was walking around and fiddling with the torch light. Yup, that's the shop. Actually, most people would avoid filming in that period but for Jimmy, he has no choice since he's such a busy person. As he was filming, he felt that something around him was not right and he heard some kind of metal clanking sound. Just at that moment, a nearby lamp hanging from the ceiling crash to the ground, giving them a shock of the life. �Could it be coincidence? Not scary enough. The next 2 stories really make my hairs stand. ********************* Do you know that the last�verse in the song 'Scarecrow', bie yong lei shui bi wo fang shou(Don't use tears to force me to let go) is not Jimmy's voice but actually........ ? Here's how the whole thing happens. At that time, Jimmy was busy filming for Jue Dai Shuang Jiao in the day, so at night, he would record for his new album. He was recording this song and when�he sang till the last verse, his producer was delighted as that last phrase was very well sung and so full of feelings and the crew applauded, giving him�the thumbs-up sign. But what they didn't realised was�when they were so impressed with the last verse, Jimmy, in the recording room was knocking hard on the glass trying to get their attention as the music stopped near the last verse so there was no way�he could continue singing. He came out and asked�them why did they give him the thumbs-up. If Jimmy didn't sing,�then who was that just now? Their faces changed - from delighted to uneasiness and everyone started�having goosebumps. In the end, the producer decided to use the voice of 'it' in the song as to them, they believed that the help from the 'good brother'�may be a good sign. Sure enough, this CD sold very well and had good reviews. ***Please take note, this story is not meant to scare people from listening to this song. I've heard it many thousand times and nothing happened. Frankly, I can't even tell the difference as it all sounded so like Jimmy. After I heard this encounter, I did realise there is some echo in the background which is not found in the other parts of the song. But come to think of it, the first time I heard this song, it gives me a really very special and moved feeling. What do you think? On the whole, it's still a very nice song. ********************* The next encounter was last year when Jimmy was filming for Lu Xiao Feng in China. There was a scene where it was supposedly to be moving Lu Xiao Feng's coffin to be buried so along the way,� they would throw joss papers in the air as they moved along. After the director was satisfied with it, the joss papers on the�ground had to be cleared.�As they were�helping to pick them up, they heard�an eerie voice saying, "Don't pick....". 'THEY' may have thought that the joss papers were meant for them. In the end I'm not sure if they did clear them or not. But I guess for the superstitious, it's better to leave the papers alone than to offend 'them''/ ********************* I found this following article from a chinese discussion board and this article was dated at the time when Jimmy was still a newcomer, (92-93). I'm typing this out at night and it's already gave me the creeps, is it the same case with you? When Jimmy was in secondary one, to prove the existence of ghosts, two of his classmates and him went into Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall in the night. In the process, some weird things happened and one of his classmate went missing.... One night, Jimmy and two friends went into a secret hideout in the basement of the memorial hall and waited until 12 midnight. After the caretaker closed the main gates, the 3 of them came out from the passage and walked into the west pavilion. The compound of the memorial hall is very wide, surrounding it are stone walls and in the middle is a garden provided from people to rest. Other that the main building of the memorial hall, there are the north, south, east and west pavilions. They left the west pavilion, each of them with a torch on hand and explored the garden. Seemingly, they were afraid, but 3 boys together, so as not to be teased being a coward, they could only put a brave front, heading onwards. Maybe Jimmy was imagining things, when they went through the lush trees, he seemed to hear someone talking. Although the volume was low, but the tone was stern, like giving orders. He thought there may be something wrong with his hearing, turned towards his friends, but there was no one behind him. He could clearly listened to his breathings and the loud thumping of his heart....Suddenly, "WAH!!!" and Jimmy ran with all his might but later heard laughters behind him, realising that he was tricked. He shone his torch and saw his friends laughing very hard. Just then, there was a sudden wind blowing and the leaves on the trees rustled loudly. The stared in front of them. One of his friends forced a smile and tried to calm them in his trembling voice. Without a word, the 3 of them ran towards the main gates. Although knowing there was a caretaker there, and they would surely get scolded, but saving their lives were more important and couldn't care more. At the main gates, their sounds awoke the caretaker and were immediately caught. They then realised that one friend was missing, and pleaded with the caretaker to help them find their friend. Although the caretaker was unwilling, he eventually went with them to search for their missing friend. Their friend had accidentally fell but Jimmy and the other friend were to busy running for their lives to notice that they had left their friend behind. By the time he finally stand up, Jimmy and the other friend were already far ahead so he could only limp slowly towards them. This time, in the memorial hall came sudden loud cheers. This gave him a big fright. His legs turned wobbly and he fell to the ground. The sound of cheers came nearer and louder, like thousands of people were cheering, then came a loud stern voice which drown the sound of cheers. He looked into the memorial hall and in his mind, he saw a flash of a person, but how can this be? Unable to continue thinking, he felt a sudden cold wind which freeze his heart. The stern voice sounded beside his ears, "Follow me. Follow me." This keeps repeating until he was too frightened and lost all sensations. When Jimmy and company finally found him, he was seen supporting against the main door of the memorial hall, his body freezing cold. At first, they thought he was dead and they almost cried out, later they found him still breathing, thus they immediately sent him to the hospital and later became very ill. Finally, the reporter asked Jimmy if he still goes to the memorial hall, he replied that he had been there twice in the daytime, whereas at night......he doesn't have the courage anymore! |
