We brought Jimmy to Marina South to play arcade games.
Yup, not long ago, when Jimmy came to Singapore to promote his album, 'Zaobao-XianZai' (S'pore's Chinese papers) brought him around Singapore and accompanied him in the arcade for the whole afternoon.
Since it's the examination season, that Sunday afternoon in Marina South's arcade was missing its usual crowd. Jimmy's footsteps was relaxed as he walked into the arcade. We treated him to play the games he likes. "This interview is to shoot me playing games?"
Being able to work as you play, who wouldn't resist it? Let's see what's Jimmy most interested in. The first game Jimmy played was......you're right! His favourite car-racing. Jimmy who often races, performed very well even on computer games. After that, he also played another race, Daytona USA 2 and rally motorbike racing. It seems that cars and the feeling of speed is Jimmy's favourite.
Have you tried the new dancing machine which is very popular here recently? Jimmy who's able to dance very well was very curious of this machine. First, he stand aside and observed some boys  who were enjoying themselves dancing  on the machine. After they had finish, Jimmy excitedly tried the game.
During the 1st round, the pace was quite slow. Although Jimmy was a first-timer, he was able to keep up with the pace easily. At the 2nd round, the pace of the dance was getting faster and faster and his dancesteps were getting muddled. Finally, at the 3rd round, Jimmy couldn't keep up anymore and lost to the machine. "Wah! It's too hard!" Jimmy said as he was trying to catch his breath. But we were already amazed of him as we were watching beside him.
Another game which attracted Jimmy was a shooting game, Silent Scope. According to our photographer, who's computer game expert, he said this was the newest game. Jimmy tried once and felt that it was real fun. As we were observing him play, we managed to catch the way he looked on film when he held his breath and looked so focused.
From Jimmy did we realised that 2, 3 years ago, all the arcades in Taipei were restricted and forced to close down. Therefore, Taipei youngsters can only play computer games at home. But this rule doesn't affect Jimmy greatly as he had not stepped into the arcades in Taipei for 7, 8 years. The last time he went was in Japan and he spent almost 1 whole day playing in there.
