MY REVIEW
First of all, before I start into my review, I have to say that I am sick and tired of reading that Perkins and Hepburn were mis-cast for these parts. Don't listen to those critics because they are talking out of their asses! Both actors do a really great job at their portrayals, and it's just the script's fault that the characters seem watered down.

Green Mansions is a really sweet film, with lush landscapes and exotic wildlife. I especially loved the fact that Hepburn was in it too because she is one of my all time favourite actresses. Her distinctively pixie-like looks suit the part of her mysterious forest girl Rima perfectly, and she delivers her otherwise cheesy dialogue sofly and thoughtfully. Before I go and sing my praises to Audrey any more I need to get onto Tony because after all, it is his fan site isn't it! Maybe I'll do another one for her some day... called Mad-About-Audrey! Haha, I can dream! I've got enough work to do here!

Anyway, Tony is looking particularly beefier than usual in this flick, and sporting a nice tan! His character Abel is sent into the forest to kill Rima by the native tribe, who believe she is an "evil spirit". However, he falls in love with her after she saves his life. The romance that builds between the two of them is very believable, and proves that Tony was just as good at being the romantic leading man as he was being a "psycho".

It's all very nice, light entertainment here, but with a strange and slightly annoying ending. Sure, the story is a bit silly the whole way through, but so what? It'll still leave you smiling! One part I remember enjoying is when Tony is in the canoe with the two tribesmen, and they start to freak out after seeing a big spear sticking out of the ground (a sign of danger or something) and he goes "What are you afraid of? A bunch of red feathers?" then BAM! he blows them right of with his revolver!

I did actually learn something from watching this film though:- When you are being chased by angry indians carrying torches, DON'T climb up a tree!!
