BEST QUOTE "That's what I like about June, her eagerness to learn, not like most scholars who come to college just to get married". This one's great, considering Fonda's plans!!! And he makes such a great face after delivering the line!!!!

BEST MOMENT
My very own favourite, obviously, is the singing bit... "...cuddle up a little closer...", I love it!!!!!!! I LOVE Tony, but if there's one thing that completely melts me is his singing!!!! And there are a lot more, just to mention some of them: his face when Fonda's touching his leg (as a matter of fact, all of his faces throughout the movie are great!); any scene with him wearing the basketball shorts!!!!! (watch out ladies!); when he has the little girl in his arms (is that sweet or what????); the couch scene with Fonda; bumping his head onto the trailer's roof; when he's streaping while the professor makes him the questions!!!; and look out for this one, when they're blackmailing him in the cab he makes a face that's very Norman Bates, the "I wouldn't even harm a fly" face, funny!!!!

WORST MOMENT
There's not a worst moment, I have to say. By this I don't mean this is a masterpiece like Psycho, but it's a really funny and sweet comedy!!!

REVIEW
Two things to say about Tall Story, when you watch it just remember it was made eight years before Barefoot in the Park and months before Psycho, because I think it actually works as a prelude for both movies. This is Fonda's debut, and you can see her quality as a comedian, that quality she'll take to extremes in Barefoot in the Park. And then there's Perkins. Before watching the movie I kept thinking how strange it must have been for people to watch him in this romantic comedy and short after as psychotic-drag queen Norman Bates, but now I've watched Tall Story I actually think that you can find a lot of Bates' tics in Ray Blent. His gestures, his faces, the way he moves, his stutter, his "fear" of Fonda... maybe it's me, but I think there are a lot of points of conection.

To the movie now. June Ryder (Jane Fonda) is not a stupid girl, as a matter of fact, she's pretty inteligent. She knows what she wants and she goes for it. What is it that she wants? The same as all of us: Anthony Perkins!!!! By this I mean Ray Blent, a basketball star from Custer College. The thing is "she's pretty tall for a girl" and Ray is 6 foot 3 and steaming hot!!!!! So she figures out a masterplan to get him. And it'll work. There's not much more to say about it... it's a romantic comedy, so you'll figure out the rest... Tony is funny as hell, he does some really hilarious faces, and has really nice and funny lines. And, yes, he looks amazing, but I guess it was not necessary for my to say that. If you're a Perkins fan you obviously have to watch this, and if you're a fan of romantic comedies in general you'll find it interesting as well.
