In this album, Tony moves away from the easy listening and jazz genre heard in "On A Rainy Afternoon" to explore big-band and swing. The musical arrangements are bigger and more ambitious, thanks to Urbie Green's wonderful orchestra. Those who loved his debut album should definitely give this a listen, as his vocal performance is back up to the same calbiber and you will get to experience all the same qualities I wrote about in the review for "Tony Perkins", now more confident and refined. All of the tracks are excellent but I particularly enjoyed "Ole Buttermilk Sky" and his take on "The Careless Years". Tony and the band really let loose on tracks 3, 9 and 12 which I'm sure were as fun to record as they are to listen to!
