Elvis was the second child that Berry and Anthony had together, and he born on 9th February, 1976. He has recently become an extremely successful folk-rock singer and songwriter, releasing his debut album Ash Wednesday in February 2007 (June in the UK). He and his band, dubbed "Dearland", are all old friends, and began touring extensively in 2006. The songs on Ash Wednesday are listed in chronological order, before and after his mother's death. His beautiful music seems to have an air of sadness surrounding it, influenced greatly by the tragedy of losing both his parents. The lyrics are profound and sincere, and at times very touching.
Elvis started out playing guitar for his college friend Becky Stark in the folk band Lavender Diamond - Becky is still the lead singer/songwriter for the band but has since provided some backing vocals on his solo debut album. His brother Oz also has played drums for him in the past, and even directed the music video for the track "While You Were Sleeping".
Elvis really has true musical talent, so I would definitely recommend his poignant album and that you look out for him in the future. I certainly hope that I will be able to enjoy a live performance when he comes back to tour the UK.
