Music stuff
While I have many hobbies in my life, music is one of my favorites. My parents started me out learning to play the piano when I was about 6 or 7 years old. While I love to sing & am fairly good at reading notes, my hands just can not seem to play 2 octaves on the piano at the same time! It might have helped if I'd practiced a little bit more, but what kid likes to practice?? Eventually, in the 5th grade, we had orchestra & band try-outs. I took the music test, and requested to learn the cello. Since then, I've participated in group orchestras, private lessons, master classes and musicals with my cello. Beyond that, I even started teaching lessons to young students. Although I went to State Music Contest in high school every year & got a trophy from Festival Music Contest for my performances, my greatest achievement was the year that my 2 students both got to go to State Music Contest on their solos. I was never prouder than when I heard their great news. I can still remember their excitement when when they told me! Continue to check back for pictures of my cello, as soon as I find them in my photo boxes!
