THE BOTTOM LINE

So, you think that you're not too bad a person
That you are as good as the next guy.
You try to be a good neighbor,
And help someone that needs help.

Well, maybe once in a while a little white lie,
But nothing serious, you say.
Maybe not always been completely honest,
But I'm as good as the next guy.

What happens when you get caught speeding?
Is that the kind of story you tell the officer?
I don't speed very often,
Not any more than the most everyone else?

Ant the officer says, "Tell it to the judge."
And would you?
So what are you going to tell God
When you face Him some day?

For the Bible says, "It is appointed unto men
Once to die
And after that the judgment."
That final judgment.

Know what? I want Jesus to be my attorney.
Want Him my attorney when I see God.
And that the great thing is that He will be
Will be for you, too---if you ask Him.

He'll stand in your place and in my place
And He has never lost a case.
Jesus went to a cross to pay for our sins.
He paid for our sins completely and forever.

Talk about a win-win situation.
Talk about surefire insurance, this is it!
But you have to act now.
When it's over here in this life, it's over.

Why worry or wonder another day
Tell Him about your failures and sins.
Tough words, but true of all of us.
He'll take you just as you are.

Jesus said, "I came not to call the righteous
But sinners." Like you and me.
So, the bottom line then is:
What are you going to do?

Well, you say, "I'm not going to do anything"
When we examine that statement it's clear.
That in itself is a decision. Right?
So, what will you tell God when it's over here?
