| THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED Our famous American poet, Robert Frost, Made a most interesting statement. One that I believe we should all heed. He said, "Two roads diverged in a woods and I, I took the one less traveled, And that has made all the difference." Jesus also spoke of two roads. One was wide and well traveled But it ended in destruction. The other was narrow And had very little traffic. But it ended in a new life. Both statements concerned goals. But the first ends in this life. The second ends in eternity. Both are very important to you and I, For one concerns a journey in life, The other a journey to life. Jesus spoke of being the road to heaven. He spoke of being the Only road. Poet Robert Frost spoke of success in this life. Something almost all of us desire. However, Jesus spoke on a different level, An entrance into the life to come. Neither Jesus or Poet Frost indicated that success In our material world is certain or necessary. But both stressed that you must leave the crowd And take a road less traveled. Robert Frost is to be admired for his accomplishments Jesus is to be worshipped because He is God. God who became man that we might know Him, Who became man to die on a cross for us Who lives now to be our Savior and Lord. He wants you to leave the crowd and trust Him But you must decide soon For there are only so many tomorrows. Then why be average? Why follow the crowd? Bring you failures and sins to Him. He'll forgive you and accept you. He will change your life forever. Your choice of roads must be made in this life. Will it be Jesus or the crowd? ------ H.W. McClelland |
