NEW YEAR
December indeed has slipped away
And we have entered into a new year
Who knows what will take place this year?
Only the God of Creation knows.
But if we are trusting Jesus we do know
That God loves us more than we can tell.
There are so many illustrations in His word
Some are almost beyond our belief.
God tells us that "He catches our tears
In a bottle!" Can you imagine that?
Who but God could tell of His love
In such a way. No poet could, but God did.
It's like He is saying "your tears are
Precious to Me. They are on My shelf."
They illustrate so beautifully how much He
Cares about our every sorrow and problem.
Stop for a moment and think. Someone you
Really love is weeping. How do you show
That you care. You might just wipe away
The tears. Most of us have done that.
But God says, "I'll store your tears in a bottle."
How wonderful to know that God, in addition
To His ultimate gift, the Lord Jesus, continues
Giving us pictures of how much he loves us
Pictures to cheer us on the way to Home.
