HOPE
He told the story of his mother who at 69 was very sick.
So sick that she was hospitalized and not expected to live.
And it was winter.
So he and his wife went downtown and bought her a gift.
A lovely very expensive nightgown.
When they went to the hospital and gave it to her,
They were shocked when she said "take it away, I don't want it!"
"What I do want is for you to go to town and get me...
A beautiful summer purse!"
It was so unexpected that it took them a few moments to recover,
And to realize what she was thinking. She was looking for "hope!"
A reason to live and not to die.
They did just what she asked, and winter seemed to melt away.
As he told the story to his audience....his mother was 83.
And doing just fine.
Hope is what the world needs today. Hope in God. Hope in Jesus.
A hope for all seasons. A hope for eternity.
What about you? Where is your hope?
Why not put your trust in Jesus today. If not now, when?
If not now, why? There are only so many todays.
