CALIFORNIA POPPIES AND BLUE LUPINES
Everyone loves flowers. I think that even tough rough guys
Might not say as much, but they do. Bet you think that, too.
We've all seen some pretty muscular guys in the garden
Guys that you wouldn't want to mess with.
God loves flowers, too. He speaks about them in His word
And we can tell it by the fact that He created so many of them!
Jesus spoke about the Lilies of the fields.....that they spin not
Neither do they toil, but their beauty is greater.....than who?
Greater than Solomon in all his glory. And we know he was
Just the richest of all the kings in the ancient world.
The queen of Sheba......very rich in her own right came to see
If all she had heard of King Solomon was true.
Know what she said to him? "The half was not told me".
She brought him great riches but left with much more than she
Ever dreamed possible. And with all her questions answered.
For Solomon was not only the richest man but the wisest.
Christians often speak of Jesus as being the "Rose of Sharon"
And the "Lily of the Valley" because of their love for Him.
If you are not yet a believer you might ask them about Jesus
They well might say, "The half was not told me". So true!
Personally, and perhaps because I am not a garden person,
I especially love the poppies and the blue lupines.....tell you why,
For many years as I drove over the Santa Cruz mountains on
Business..I looked forward to seeing these harbingers of Spring!
It was a real joy to catch sight of the first poppy and lupine.
It was almost like seeing a new day dawn. A new start.
If you haven't come to Christ...........if you haven't claimed Him
As Savior...you can. It will be like seeing a new Spring.
You will find that the Savior is willing to forgive your past
All your sins. Those things you know were wrong and trouble you
If you ask Him to, and truly want to make Him the Lord of your life.
Poppies and lupines will have a new meaning for you. Do it now!
