Recycled Christmas
MAC Roots & Shoots is providing a new take on an old holiday tradition .... decorations! We have tables in the MUSC Marketplace and we will be selling christmas ornaments that have been hand crafted by a number of local artists. What's the catch? They're made out of recycled lightbulbs! Not only are they environmentally friendly, but they're full of holiday cheer. These ornaments make amazing tree decorations or stocking stuffers. We will be in the student center from 10 -3 on:

But wait, that's not all. Not only will be have lightbulb decorations for sale, we will also be selling paper bead jewellery. These lovely pieces are handcrafted by groups of Ugandan women - financed by micro credit grands through JGI Canada. Each item sold provides economic alternatives to those who formerly supported their families through poaching, deforestation, and over harvesting of natural resouces.
As always, all proceeds raised go directly to JGI Canada.
