the snowflow project will consist of 4 components.

crowd compiler "snow drifts": a webcam is mounted facing some ski runs and creates a digital time-lapse understanding of movement on a ski hill, much like the cumulative effects of skiers through fresh powder.
traceroutes: A skier's day can be seen through an accumulation of GPS tracklogs. Transposition of multiple tracklogs will create a collaborative, realtime map of the hill, and changes over different days and different conditions.
geograffiti: skiers can record audio and video images that are contextualized to their position on a run.
bio-mapping: a device on select skiers will monitor their biometric signals correlating this data with their geographical, creating a bio-maps of the ski hill and individual ski runs.

In total, this body of locative information about a particular mountain will be assembled in a multi-layered online presentation that shows not just the mountain, lifts and runs, but the human experience that the mountain uniquely creates.
