| Course Description Students will examine the representation of History through a variety of mediums; literature, technology, archaeology, films, museums, model making and theme parks as well as through a variety of primary sources. The 100 hour course presents a different way of looking at history. The course will encompass : * ancient and medieval societies as well as the modern world, across a variety of locations * inquiry questions will reflect a range of topics such as popular culture, sport, music, entertainment, terrorism, war, genocide, racism and peace. * students will be studying and analysing the ways history is presented in fiction, museums, technology and films, model making and theme parks. * students will become critical thinkers and analysts of the popular representations of history. * students will be involved in activities such as designing and creating museum displays and harnessing technology to become an interactive learning/teaching tool.
