Mystique Bio
Aredal came to be in the year of 1038 in the month of January. Shortly after this in the year of 1102 Barbu was also built and connected its lands with ours which still exists even until now, though it remains old and worn for its days. That is where my story starts..
My mother Lady Hannah, and my father Lord Kristoffer, were married in the year of 1291. They started a beautiful life together, my father overseeing the farming that went on within his lands that he owned and my mother who was a shopkeeper for the fashions that a most sought after.
My father owned lands such as Grimstead, Froland, and Tvedestrand. These lands bordered where they lived and provided many assets to those around them for both food, water, and other things.
I was born here in these lands in the year of 1300 in the colder months of December. My mother and father had a woman who foretold of me several years earlier and claimed that I would bring much sadness and heartache to those around me when I was born my parents would not hear her words.. Life was going to change.
By the time that I was 4, I was marked a witch. Everywhere I went it seemed that destruction followed, and the claims that were made years earlier, my parents were now starting to believe, but they still had some doubts and loved me all the same so life was decent within our home. I never felt as though I didnt belong.
My cousin Marcus, who was the son of my mothers sister Gladriel, came much to play with me, seeing that I was tended to and that I never got into trouble.. Though he was nearly 15 years older that I, I adored him and would do anything for Marcus, because he was like a brother in most ways to me
Three years later, on a night that the heavens shined down all was about to change within the lands, as a man and his hunters came forth. His name was Jakob. He was in search of a good nights rest and a good woman, and he found neither that night.
He went searching into shops that ladies frequented, looking for something that might whet his appetite. Coming into my mothers shop, he happened to lay eyes upon her, and his look of lust became apparent to which he would stop at nothing to get her.
Hannah, being a married woman and a simple person, took Jakobs looks with ease, she merely brushed them off and kept going on her daily tasks.. But one day when Jakob entered her shop and demanded that she come with him and she could not deter him as easily as before. She pushed his words away and went on..but he would not take no for an answer. She Simply stated that she was a married woman and that it would not look right to do such, but his anger got the best of him.
Hannah, turning just in time to see the serious look on Jakobs face, stood stock still, her mind trying to think of anything that she could do to deter the man, but to no avail. She refused his advances, tried to block his every blow, but soon she was no match for him, and soon she was carried away into the night.
Kristoffer had come to see his wife home safely that evening and when he got there all he saw was the ruins that her shop lay in.. it was too much for him to bear.. His beloved Hannah was no where to be found, and so he left and went out in search of her nothing would ever be the same..
I was left with a remarkable woman one who loved to play with me in games and songs, and yet she taught me all I ever needed to know on how to be a lady. I was only but 8, and there were so many schooling lessons on such that I began to think that being a lady was something of a task that I wasnt quite so sure that I wanted to undertake after all..
Although I got into much trouble for climbing trees, and chasing after those that pulled my hair, a lady was what I turned out to be some years had passed and here I was.. Marcus had gone to training for the war and I was stuck being a lady, it didnt seem quite fair as I thought that I was as good as any boy on the field at the time, though I had no idea of what really went on, loneliness began to set in, and my mind searched.
I was still searching and waiting for the parents that I loved to return to me once more.. But my wait was in vain.. They would never return..
So many memories passed day by day of just how beautiful my mother was.. She was a vision to behold indeed. She had the soft creamy skin of an angel and the fiery temper of the devil, and the softness of a kitten that matched her every movement. My father was strong and proud, handsome and masterful at the things that he did. He made me so proud to be in his life and so sure that I wanted to be like him when I was olderand yet I had him wrapped around my finger from the day I was born. My mother used to laugh and say that I was a charmer from the beginning..
And maybe she was right but the memories were something that never lied and yet I felt as though they were fading all too soon as time passed and I thought that in time I might lose them forever. But I was assured that the memories always stay with you, even until the end.. And I intended to keep them that way.
A letter arrived at the door one morn, I was about the age of 10, and seeing that it was vital information I hastened to open it.. My hand trembled, and my face went pale, my knuckles as white as snow once my hands were wrapped around the letter, true fear beckoned to me, and I knew that something was wrong. But fate had reared its ugly head.. my parents were now dead.. Those were the only words that stuck out on that page to me. There seemed to be nothing else, and time now seemed endless.. I was falling and there was no one to catch me.
My heart ached, as I crumpled to the floor.. I almost lost all the contents of my stomach.. And in moments passing later, I actually did. I was confused, saddened, sickened, and mortified at how someone could do something so wicked to the two most beloved souls that someone could ever meet. And yet I knew in my heart who had done it.. And somehow I wanted to go out and find him and make him pay for all the things that he had done.. My parents.. Me others.. Time was on my side.. Or so I thought..
But I was guided into staying for a bit more from the lovely woman who was both my friend and advisor. She sought to see me at least married to a good man before I was to trek off on an adventure all by myself.. I think that she wanted less worry over me.. But that was her way.
On one of my travels, I had stopped to rest at a castle that was not far from our own. Upon gaining entrance for the night I came upon a man whom I thought was most magnificent. I was fortunate enough to meet the handsome rogue who went by the name of Ferrell Chadwick, a warrior of sorts. Both handsome and serene, he was everything that I sought out in my dreams, and everything that dreams were indeed made of.
I had learned to fight from childhood, the basic steps my father taught, to so many other soldiers, and I had mastered some skills in killing another, but coming against this warrior was a horse of a different color altogether. He was bold, and forceful... his visions were that of my own at times, my reactions were shocked and thankful all at the same time.. how could one be so like myself...and yet so far away ....
He was in the Training Area, practicing his skills with his sword, and yet I had seen many a man do such, but none had caught my eye as this one had. He was powerful and full of energy, and he was handsome.
Leaning against the wall I couldnt help but stop and stare for but a few moments, when I realized all of a sudden he was there in front of me..
My heart and ankles grew weak every time I saw him.. It was a perfect match..
Strange ways, Strange Lands, Strange People and all within these castle walls together.. each with their own story to tell. my interest was piqued and maybe, just maybe staying here after all.... the healing could begin.....he definitely had my heart, but could he win my soul? Only Time would be able to tell..
By a year later he had won my heart, and I had his love, but both of us came with a past that neither of us could have imagined at a time like such as this...
I was now just the tender age of 14 when our love started with a courtship like no other, being able to sense one another as if we knew what the other had been through in our short lifetime, though we has just met... it was destiny met with fate... and soon consummated in heated romance upon the shores of the sand of the beaches of The Castle. But my heart wasn't all that was lost in the waves that day...fantasies flourished and became known love was everything it was supposed to be
Asking for my hand in marriage in the Month of Feb, on the day of the 19th, the year of our Lord 1316, it was so marked upon the books and a public announcement would be given 3 months to the day...
In the year of 1317, on the day of the 25th, in the month of June, I was presented to my husband and we became Lord Ferrell Chadwick and Lady Mystique of Grimstead. But fate was about to take another ugly turn and catch everyone quite unaware...
Ferrell entertained a certain spell of an injury and was helped by a druid and his wife, and while there he made great friends with them both... he then brought back myself for a visit with them and upon our visit, a knock came upon the door and showed a girl of teenage years whom pronounced herself an heir to Ferrell...
I was devastated... not having known that Ferrell had any known children at all, and I took the news to heart and proceeded to ponder leaving him in search of my own fulfillment for family... the child did not like me and it was indeed quite clear and she was not about to have Ferrell and I together...
Ferrell went away on a journey not long after and stayed a few months and left me to my thoughts, and upon returning he came to find that I had a devastating revelation in tell for him...
I had decided to meet with his former clan and join forces in order to find the ones that killed my family... Ferrell became enraged...he wanted me to have no part of his former life or anything really at all because there were things that he never wanted me to find out
The titles to my lands were all signed over to Ferrell, it was somewhat of a present upon our wedding day, to him to show just how much in love with him I was, so I had no idea that he would turn that against me and take everything that I had.
Our marriage soon went downhill and in truth it was awful in my eyes, and how anyone could do that was amazing to me. In light there really wasnt any love lost, as he had grown cold and bitter over the course that we were married, something that I came to despise..
I soon realized that all he was ever after was the lands that I owned.. I was hurt, and torn over this.. Love still wasnt something I had received, and yet it was something that I longed forI had moved to other chambers just to be away from him, and so my bed like my heart remained empty and void it was heart breaking.
His plans included making every bit of what we had his, and then having me disposed of so that I was never to be seen again.. And so his men came and took me. I was dragged and carted to a place within the forest, and as soon as I hit my feet I began running.. Only one arrow hit me that day,in the back to be specific, and the blood poured silently onto the ground where I fell. It was enough for me to know that if it continued... I would not live much longer.. But fate again was upon my side...
Darkness took me quickly.. And I awoke to find a woman tending to my needs within a strange home.. I was both frightened and scared. When she calmed my fears she began to tell me that she had been out with her husband earlier in the day and had seen the things that had happened.. And she had waited until she knew the men that had captured me had gone and her and her husband brought me back to where they dwelled to tend to my wounds.
I was thankful indeed, and so I stayed with them for a time.. But I knew that somehow I must keep moving and maybe that would take me where I needed to go.. I was now both the hunter and the hunted in all senses.
As I thanked them for all their kind deeds, I set out on my own to find somewhere else to go, somewhere both quiet and serene somewhere where I could
collect my thoughts..
I set out in search of something more.. Since I had nothing anymore, I chose to become a traveler, a free roaming form who was in search of those that killed my parents.. News traveled far and wide and I soon learned that Ferrell was dead, though no emotion showed in my face, secretly I was jumping for joy in my heart that he was deceased for all that he had put me through, there could have been no better retribution But again upon my travels I found something that I did not expect
I found a place called McLaaran Castle.. Which seemed very friendly. The people that came and went were all very calming and soothing to my troubles within my mind, and for once it seemed as though I belonged.. The nobles, the commoners, even the servants I was just awestruck at how things worked together to create a place so mystical yet so real that when you stepped into its lands you felt as though you were home.
There were so many things that I loved about this place.. It had so much history, so much love, and so much mystery in itself.. Something that I really longed to explore.. And I was about to.. If the fates would allow it.. Or would they? Time was something that would only tell that.. But was it something I was ready for? Had my heart healed enough to start again? Or would another turn come unexpectedly once more and forever change me?
