| Our tour begins in Philipsburg, our Dutch Capital, which boasts to be one of the truly duty free ports in the Caribbean. The town is located on a sand isthmus, and separates the Great Bay Salt Pond and the Caribbean Sea. Travelling through the outskirts of Philipsburg we journey through Dutch Quarter and on to the Dutch-French border on the eastern side of our Island. Our first stop is at Orient Bay, our clothing optional beach. From this vantage point feel free to put your camera to use. Capture the breathtaking view of a long stretch of white sandy beach, the growing sport of hand gliding and the colourful arrays of parasailers. |
| As we depart the Orient Bay area, we journey towards the French Village of Grand Case which is world renowned for its fine dining. In addition to dining, Grand Case is also becoming known for its production of marble. Leaving Grand Case we now descend into Marigot to experience the blend of of Creole charm and French ambience. During our stop in Marigot, please take the opportunity to stroll down Rue de La Republic, the Marina Royale and experience the variety of boutiques and outdoor cafes. From Marigot our tour takes us through the redeveloped area of Nettle Bay and unto to our Lowlands District where many a celebrity such as Diana Ross, Jimmy Carson, and Harry Belafonte has purchased houses ranging in price from 1 million US dollars and above. |
| Our next stop is at The Royal Casino located at the Maho Beach Hotel. This area has become extremely popular in the last 10 years and is now known as the third shopping area on the Island. The day comes alive with live Caribbean entertainment at The Casino Royale at Maho Beach Hotel. How often can you take a GREAT birds eye photograph of one of the largest bodies of water in The Caribbean. Well you can do just that at our *Harold Jack* lookout. Whether its shopping in Marigot, Philipsburg, or just simply being informed about our Lovely Island and its people, our Island Tour takes you on an educational journey which will leave a lasting impression.
