| One of the main reasons I want to become a P.E. teacher is my love for physical activity. I find it an absolute when I hear reports on the news about how our children are becoming more obese with every passing generation. I want children to learn the importance of living an active lifestyle throughout their entire lives. Furtheremore, children need oppertunities to develop their motor coordination skills. Aside from the obvious health benefits involved with physical activity, sports are a great way for children to learn how to socialize and interact with one another. In essence, I want to pass on my enthusiasm of sports to future generations so that they have an oppertunity to BE on the video games that many others will be playing. (I wish I was good enough to see myself on NHL 2001 for Play Station 2). |
