This is where we will tell you about our wonderful club.

The Club was first formed in the late 1970's and has seen many changes.

Over time it has had several name changes, a split into two, then in MAY of this year it finally remerged into the

MACKAY MODEL MARINERS.

The Club is made up of Radio Controlled Yachtsmen and Radio Controlled Scale Boat skippers.

We predominantly sail Marbleheads, though there is the odd One metre and other assorted craft.

Our Scale Craft consists mainly of Tug Boats, a couple of Schooners and the odd steam powered vessel.

Our Sailing program is conducted every Saturday afternoon, starting at 1pm sharp. Currently we sail 3 Scratch races, followed by 7 handicap races with a total of 5 races per series. We also mix in a few fun days, as well as visits to our neighbouring clubs.

Each of our series is sponsored by local business house with a maximum limit of $25. the Series handicap winner gets to keep all of the spoils, while the remaining winners will receive certificates of merit.

Currently we have 19 Financial members, with a couple of others sitting in the wings and a Life Member.

This page will be redone as time permits.
