Chicken Scratches For the Sake of Inspiration
Chicken Scratches For the Sake Of Inspiration

Chicken Scratches for the sake of inspiration....
It sounded like a good idea at the time,
Especially since I never poessessed the knack to make a rhyme.
The only words that would seem to fit to the perfect size,
Seemed to foretell this poem's very demise.
So I took my time,
In finding some words that would rhyme,
With the word inspiration,
In essence of boosting one's motivation.

Poems roam here year-round,
This is where my poems would be if they were headed homeward bound.
As sing- songy as this would sound,
I would be in great gratitude,
If you poessessed no attitude,
And took a look around.

My Sunscreen Song
Ladies and gentlemen of the class of 2003
Wear sunscreen If I could offer you only one tip for the future sunscreen would be it. The longterm benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists. Where as the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experiences. I will dispense this advice now:

The last day is unknown Do all intentions when first thought.
Sing.
Let your thoughts run on paper. They might become a bestseller someday.
Breathe.
Thank God for each day for just waking up is a blessing.
Be kind to your parents, siblings, and neighbors. You'll miss them when they're gone.
Remember.
Treasure the good times and forget the bad. If you succeed in doing this tell me how.
Stretch.
Enjoy your body use it in everyway  you can. Don't be afraid of it or what other people think of it, it's the greatest instrument you'll ever own.
Dance.
Even if it is in your own living room.
Laugh. For it is laughter that is nourishment to the soul, mind, and spirit.
Maybe you'll marry maybe you won't. Maybe you'll dance the funky chicken at you 75th wedding anniversary.
Whatever you do congratulate yourself too much or burrate yourself either your choices are half chance, so are everybody else's.
Whatever you do be careful of the advice you buy. Advice is a form of nostalgia. Dispensing it simply looking past at its disposal, wiping it off, piainting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth

But trust me on the sunscreen.
