Spirits and Liqueurs

Prenzel in Marlborough produces excellent fruit schnapps and liqueurs.

Orange-based Cointreau is one of my favourite liqueurs.

Dining Out

Wellington has a good variety of restaurants. Menus.co.nz covers a few of them. At the weekend we often have lunch at Cafe Vella NEW in Plimmerton. I sometimes end up eating at Shed 5 or Dockside NEW for business lunches. Sadly no more, Il Casino was an excellent Italian restaurant for celebrating special occasions.

DineFind and DineOut have wider New Zealand coverage.

On our honeymoon in Russell at the end of 2002 we had very nice meals at Gannets and The Gables.

I have had lunch and dinner at the White Swan in Greytown over in the Wairarapa and recommend it.

In Sydney we went out to the Casa Asturiana, an excellent Spanish restaurant.
