Talk to me in the morning
and tell me how you feel
about me then.
Tell me in the morning sun
that you still love me.
Tell me with the bird's chirping
about your eternal devotion.
Speak to me over breakfast
about your true intentions.
Share with me a cup of coffee
and promise me forever.
Look at me with matted hair
and tell me about your attraction.
Endure my morning grumpiness
and swear that you find it endearing.
Feel the chill of being coverless
and promise that you'll never leave.
Listen to me talk about my dreams
and share your own with me.
Make me believe that every word
is as true as it was the day before
and do it all again tomorrow.
