I feel so sorry for you.
How horrible it must be
to be so filled with rage,
so incapable of feeling love.
Perhaps at some point
you did feel love,
at least on some level,
but you have never
and will never know
the joy of lying in bed
at 2am and feeling so
completely filled with love
that you can hardly breath.
I feel so sorry for you
that your heart burns
only with anger and hatred.
Though you tried,
you could not
beat the love,
mentally or physically,
out of me
and implant it
in yourself.
You could not
steal it away
and hide it from me
deep within myself.
You see, I am here
and I can and do
give and receive love.
You couldn't take
that away from me.
And I understand
your anger now,
the only feeling
your heart can ever know.
I understand the rage
that makes you feel.
I understand now
and I feel sorry for you.
