I'll Sing to My Heart...

I sing to my soul,
I sing to my heart
in hopes that they
won't fall apart.
This song is all
I have to give
tonight.
I hope that it's
enough.
I've given what
little strength
I had
and felt it
all drain away.
I gave what
love I had
and felt it
being stolen.
I gave all of
the wisdom
I had accumulated
and watched
as it dwindled
in size and coverage.
I gave every
ounce of pride
I had saved up
and heard
it break apart.
I gave all I had,
and now,
I only have this song.
So, I'll sing
to my soul,
and I'll sing
to my heart
and hope
that it is enough.
