She radiates
a secret laughter
that few can hear
because She is
the great feminine.
She is strong,
surviving the trampling
of men's feet
and the poundings
of cosmic left-overs.
She is proud,
taking Her rightful
place in the sky
without even a hint
of appology.
She is forceful,
having no shame
in overshadowing
the sun when She
feels the need.
She is daring,
showing her face
even before the sky
has faded to black
when the mood suits her.
She is sharing,
borrowing the light
from the sun
so that He may rest
while She shines.
She is mothering,
using Her light
to gently remind
some to sleep
and some to wake.
She is beautiful,
Her lovely beams
dancing gracefully
upon the stage of
a darkened lake.
She is romantic,
softly highlighting
the beauty of a lover
all too often left
unseen by daylight.
She is smiling,
for She is femininity
and the unknowing
can only see a man
in the moon.
