Bring me a dozen red roses,
minus the prickly thornes.
Take me out for a fancy dinner
and then pick up the check.
Write me a love poem
to make Shakespeare proud.
Send me a sweet letter
I can treasure forever.
Seal my lips with a kiss
every morning and night.
Promise me all of eternity
with not a single day left out.
Take the time to notice
the way I wore my hair today.
Compliment me on my cooking
as if its the best you've ever had.
Make gentle love to me
with unending passion.
Never take your eyes off me
when a beautiful woman walks in.
Smile at the thought of me
no matter where you are.
Share with me the secrets
that you never told anyone.
Show me the complete person
behind your glowing face.
Look at me and understand
that I am only human.
Believe in me no matter what
stupid mistakes I make.
Or, just stare deep into my eyes
and say "I love you!"
