But I know the whole truth.
I know that my eyes could never sparkle
with the strong desire I feel with only a thought of you.
I understand that my touch is only gentle
to contain the intense passion I feel everytime I see you smile.
I hear my voice telling you that I love you
and remember how hard it used to be to say
and laugh at the wonder
that now it is only painfully inadequate.
So, let it dance in my eyes,
hide its strength in my touch,
and sing to your heart through my voice,
for it is all my body can handle.
