She gives us our very first bleed
as a gift of life and knowledge.
As the loving Mother She reminds us
of our Amazon heart, proud and strong.
She calls upon us to love
none other more than ourselves.
She teachs us how to survive
and then bids us to go
forth into the world,
demanding that we learn
to stand on our own two feet
and to fly with our own wings.
She allows us to move freely,
with Her caring eyes
watching our progress
from the night sky.
But when we stray too far,
She reminds us in Her Motherly voice
of the lessons She taught us.
Eventually, the sands run low
and She slowly replaces our life blood
with a piece of Her timeless knowledge.
She does not forget us in our olden years,
but lovingly demands that we
revere ourselves as a part of Her three.
And when the sands have departed,
She is there to guide us
back to the place beyond.
She takes back Her gift of life
with a quick silver arrow
and covers us with moonlight,
as Her child for eternity.
